Share your favorite sound effects, here's a few of my favorites. DD44 from Goldneye N64, twice as fun to hear when they're dual-wielded. I can't ever forget the sound grenades make in Quake when they're bounced, Trent Reznor worked on the game's sound effects, I'm not sure if its his creation though. Stargate teleporter sound Homeworld Hyperspace Jump sound Thermal Imploder sound from Battlefront, I don't recall ever hearing this sound in the movies. I love everything in Kentucky Route Zero, but especially the mineshaft part: Any scene where you can hear his truck is really good too good part is at around 6 minutes in KRZ just has great sound design.

Best part of the movie imo
I always really liked the sound of the Drej lasers from "Titan AE". It's this sort of this icy, metallic, shimmery type sound. I've always wondered how exactly they made that sound and if it was possible to recreate it somehow. It's the higher-pitched sound at 0:31-0:32, you'll hear it several times throughout this clip. Actually all the sounds that come from the Drej in general just have this really cool feeling to them, I think.

Its a stock sound. Comes from some old sound library. The alarms at the start is actually a stock trumpet sound from the exact same library. The same thing just slightly edited is used in 28 days later. Content for thread. I could listen to Half Life 1 sounds all day. They are like permanently burned in my head. I never used it but I feel as if the Desert Eagle firing sound from Modern Warfare 2 is stuck in my head forever now.
The first halo game Has some pretty under-appreciated ambient soundscapes. This one in particular, best known as the ambience to hang-em-high, set the mood for some of the game's spookier moments. Also, the Duke3D and Half-life gibbing noises are fucking classic. Can't find any dedicated youtube examples of them, though. Oh, and this bear roar always cracks me the fuck up because of how overused it is.
motherfuckin seismic charges longer doper version if you can stand the kid's horrible acting
