This is a confusing topic to me. Is it like a social imperative to be clean shaven? I like to have my mustache and goatee, but I'm always feeling pressured to shave them off.
So, Facepunch (specifically its male population), do you shave your facial hair or you let it grow out?

Shave your boystache and boytee.
Depends. Some times I just get lazy as fuck and don't do it for a month, and then I shave every day or two afterwards.
I shave all the time
ALL THE TIME
either shave or grow a long beard, don't have one of those pussy little things
I shave my facial hair as I think it looks neat and tidy. Facial hair only looks good when it is fully grown like a proper beard.
If you can pull off a Gordon Freeman goatee and 'stache, do it!
Everyone shaves boy in this time period, maybe no the 1800's or early 1900's.
I'm in the middle of growing a goatee. If it ends up not looking good on me, I'll just shave it off and try another style.
That's all you gotta do.
I love my beard.
Mustaches suck tho, I shave that fucker as soon as I see him.
Yes I do, I don't like the feeling of having a beard, too unkempt
If you don't have much hair; and it isn't bushy, you should shave it.
I hate kids with thin hairs on the top of their lip that they've been growing all their lives.
Either have a cool full mo' or goatee, or don't have one at all, the in between mark is "uncool".
I shave every week; i should shave more often. I shave my moustache, my chin and my sideburns.
It all depends on how old you are, really.

But it feels brilliant to stroke that shit when you're bored.
Is it patchy like a 14 yo?
I try to shave pretty often, I don't want to look like some neckbeard cunt.
I did just yesterday as a matter of fact. Keep your moustache and goatee if you want to but I would suggest shaving it off if it is light and not full, as other people have mentioned.
I know at my high school not many kids let their hair grow out, let alone had facial hair, so it kind of made me stand out a little. Maybe it's similar for you? One thing you do want to do though is keep it clean. No one, especially the girls, likes to see lazy, scraggly, unkempt facial hair. If you're on break though, who cares?
Someone's gonna end up saying that shaving makes it come back fuller, quicker, and more coarse... I know it.

I do
I shave every few days. i basically make a beard of shaving foam and shave it off, down to half way down mny neck
But it feels brilliant to stroke that shit when you're bored.
I'm stroking it right now, along with a few other things!
I shave my mustache off because i'm only 16 so it ends up looking like pubes on my face, i keep my chin and sideburn hair though ( i shave it every know and then so it doesn't go fluffy)
I didn't shave till for ages till today, damn it feels good to be clean shaven.
I have no facial hair TO shave. :D
yes.
I shave all my hair off my face, also I don't recommend shaving off your sideburns. Well unless your hair is long enough to cover it up.
I hate being really clean shaven, it looks a bit wierd on me, I'm used to at least having some 'burns. But really I can't grow a proper beard yet, so I'll shave until I can actually get a man beard, then I'll grow a handlebar.
Also I hate it when I see kids who have these big long hairs on their upper lip. THAT'S NOT A PROPER MUSTACHE BOY. As everyone has said, wait until your facial hair is proper beard growing material, then do something with that shit!
Also full beards make you look older and fatter. Fact.

The feeling of a clean face feels so good, the feeling of when you just shaved.
I've had sideburns since the start of last year, I added a goatee (without a 'stache) at the start of this year (started off being as wide as my mouth, but I shaved it down to about 2cm thickness) until about 3 months ago when I shaved it off.
I've had a 'chin strap' for a couple months now.
It's annoying how many dumb 16 year olds will try to grow a beard.
It looks like shit, stop. Shave as soon as your stubble-ette shows up.
Bahah I just saw this picture googling "chin strap goatee". This is not a chin strap but, really, who the hell would buy or use this?

Oh, and I see what a chin strap is now. I've tried to grow one myself but it looked more like a neck strap. The hair on my cheeks grows too sparsely and is not thick enough. Damn. I hope it will kick in to full beard mode as I grow older but I doubt it will.

I thought it was like some sci-fi movie, some implant thing, at first
