• How do I bridge an Internet connection between two computers?

Basically, my modem just broke down, and my ISP'll send me a new one next week. However, I do have a mobile 3G modem connected to my netbook, so I was thinking about having them bridged until my new modem arrives. How would I proceed doing this? My netbook's OS's Windows XP, and my desktop's OS's Windows 7.
Connect the computers with a crossover UTP cable (not sure but I think cat6 supports that) Go to (Assuming you've plugged the 3G card to your windows 7 PC) network connections -> adapter settings -> select your 3G modem and your network card(local area connection) -> right click on one of them and select bridge connections
When I had a 3G modem I couldn't bridge a modem and a LAN connection. I believe you have to enable allowing sharing the connection under it's properties, and then set your desktop computer as the gateway. Honestly I don't know.
