The Senate voted 11-to-9 Wednesday to give final legislative approval to a bill adding gender identity to the list of protected nondiscrimination categories, including race, age, religion and sexual orientation. The legislation also allows for enhanced penalties under Delaware’s hate crimes law for targeting someone based on his or her gender identity. ...gender identity may be demonstrated by “consistent and uniform assertion of the gender identity or any other evidence that the gender identity is sincerely held as part of a person’s core identity,” and that gender identity cannot be asserted “for any improper purpose.” The amendment also emphasizes that places of public accommodation such as health clubs can provide reasonable accommodations based on gender identity
Progress.
regress damned shemales trying 2 get rights this disgusts my conservative american views
Worst part is, there's PLENTY of people who's say something like that and they're actually serious about it.
Worst part is, there's PLENTY of people who's say something like that and they're actually serious about it.
I absolutely despise people who use these sorts of events as evidence that they, the people doing the oppressing, are being victimized and denied their rights. Xenophobes and the like are such cry babies.
The Senate voted 11-to-9
Well it was pretty close. Wonder what the arguments of those that were against this would be.
To me it seems kind of dumb to have to pass a bill in order to protect a certain type of people from discrimination. But eh, this world's full of hate so I can't be surprised.
Well it was pretty close. Wonder what the arguments of those that were against this would be.
"I don't like them" [editline]22nd June 2013[/editline] That's putting it the friendly way.
ewwwwwwww but trans people are icky groooosssssss 95% of non-religion-based arguments against LGBT people. It's pathetic, really.
Can they write a law that protects people who ingest psychedelic mushrooms regularly? Im tired of being discriminated against.
