So I reinstalled FNV to hopefully beat the game but nv4_disp.dll keeps Blue screening me. It only happens with FNV and tends to happen within an hour of playing. I've tried removing and reinstalling drivers. I even followed this blog post about booting in safe mode and using driver sweeper and reinstalling the drivers in safe mode. Which helped in the sense of not crashing within 5 minutes of playing the game. I can play any other game fine it seems but not FNV. A few months ago before I uninstalled it, it never done this. So any suggestions will be great. I use Nvidia 8800GT with Windows XP. Intel Dou Core 2.44GHz and a P5NE-SLI motherboard
Try downgrading drivers if possible. Also use memtest to check for bad RAM.
If it's my RAM wouldn't it happen in any game?
Yeah it would happen in any game if the ram is bad. Downgrading your drivers is your best bet

RAM can fail in literally hundreds of different ways and cause any type of bizarre symptom. A stick of RAM could have only one bit fail and depending on where in the memory map it failed, it could never cause problems. It could also have a bit fail in a rarely used location in the memory map and only cause problems with applications that use tons of RAM.
I did a memtest and RAM seems fine. I haven't tried using older drivers yet but will soon.
Unfortunately even using older drivers I still get this blue screen. Is it possible that FNV is for some reason causing my video card to overheat? -- No post merge?
Have you checked temps?
