• In-game Music player?

I googled, and all i could find was shitty Winamp, which only lets you bind function buttons to Next, previous. I want something Like Musex that will run in-game and i could open up during a game to select the song, not just press use some stupid hotkeys. Anyone know of anything like this? I wish steam had one in shift-tab :(

Is that free? Sounds too good to be true.
Yes, or at least it used to be. I don't use it anymore though due to the lack of 64-bit support.
Huh, it works fine for me on x64 Windows 7. But it's a fucking resource hog.
Required system specs: Microsoft Windows XP 32-bit or Microsoft Windows Vista 32-bit
I assumed it wouldn't work. I never bothered trying. I never really liked it much anyway. One reason obviously being because it's a resource hog and secondly I play FPS games, and in FPS games the only place you really get a cursor is at the menu.

You can basically bind everything you really want to do with winamp. Right now I have Ctrl + B as next, Ctrl + x as previous, Ctrl + n as pause, Ctrl + u as randomize, Ctrl + A as volume down, Ctrl + s as volume up and ctrl + m as stop/play.
Winamp sucks, foobar2k is superior
Winamp sucks, foobar2k is superior
Ok.

Media player and media keyboard.
Winamp sucks, foobar2k is superior
Fuck off with your preferences.
You too
I didn't say any. :)
I didn't say any. :)
You have a bias towards media keyboards. Also yea resources get raped, but its kinda worth it.

I just say media keyboards because they free up some of those keys/key combos. You can do with the Logitech G19. Epic keyboard!
Any hald modern keyboard has dedicated music buttons and if yours doesn't then sucks to be you
attention everyone in this thread: I dont want keyboard buttons i want to inidvidually select whatever song i want to play.
I've had this issue for a long time before i found out Itunes + ipod touch w/ remote app

Winamp is amazing. Foobar is pretty good too actually, but I love the availability of plugins, hotkeys etc for Winamp. Also uses very little resources. 00 CPU and 27k with visualizer, playing music and a couple of plugins. Perfect for in-game because it is so easy to change songs.
I'd want something with a small in-game overlay with song info, nothing more. Anything like this?
i think this is pretty good and simple. try: http://wmpkeys.sourceforge.net/
Any hald modern keyboard has dedicated music buttons and if yours doesn't then sucks to be you
My 8 year old keyboard does, and so I use it over a DELL keyboard I got recently. PRO: Lets me play music in game, without fuss. CON: Typing makes a shitload of noise :( Dell is the opposite.
Total thread derail, the OP wants an In-Game GUI music player.
Foobar2k.
