• A List of technical Woes From Vista

This is my first post here. I'm also fairly new to Garry's Mod. Having stated that, I have a few questions, and i will provide whatever details i can think of that are necessary to the solution of them. Many thanks in advance to anyone who has any solutions. 1. I have attempted at downloading new content into Garry's Mod. I notice there are different locations for each type of content, but I don't know where for which. Where do I send maps? weapons? the portal gun? 2. I have seen some content for Garry's Mod 10 only, and I don't know which version I have. How do I check to see whether I've got Garry's Mod 9 or 10? If I've got 9, how do I get 10? 3. In my previous attempts to download the portal gun from Portal, I never get one that works perfectly, yet from what I've seen in the forums the gun should work great. So far I haven't been able to get one that the portals appear. they are there and I can walk through them, but I can't see them. Others, I get purple and black bands that shoot from the gun, with the same result. What is this all about? 4. Once I have downloaded content and successfully integrated them into the game, is there anything i need to do to commit them? Many thanks to whoever can help with this. The following is a list of some of my computer specs which hopefully will help in the diagnosis. Windows Vista Ultimate 32 bit SP2 NVidia GeForce GTS 250 DirectX 10 Dedicated video memory: 1024mb Hopefully this will help. Please let me know if there is anything else needed to know.

Also, none of this is Vistas fault.
Also, none of this is Vistas fault.
yes. forgot to mention that.
This is true for about 95% of people. If you have GMod 9, it was free. If you had GMod 10, you paid for it.
Fucking Vista....
Fucking Vista....
The man who assaulted me the other day ran Vista. fucking Vista...
What made me "lol" is this has nothing to do with Vista, at all.
Thanks for the help. Glad to know it's not a vista problem. I've had enough trouble with vista that I just automatically assumed my problems were its fault. One up for vista, I guess. Thanks guys.

Then like a good read-it-on-the-internet idiot, you blamed vista for a non-existent problem [editline]07:43PM[/editline] in short, get out
Vista Ultimate 32-bit? Um, why?
