I've just got to make it to the weekend. That's what I always told myself: Make it to the weekend. That's when the fun starts. That's when I can let myself go and indulge. I could finally feel the sweet touch of relief once it was the weekend. Oh God, how I wanted it to be the weekend.
It was Monday. I sat in my cubicle, gazing listlessly at the calendar. Five days seemed like forever. The clock over by the computer in my four-sided prison said 8:15 AM. My body whined "Let me free." My mind screamed "Kill me."
I had had trouble getting out of bed that morning. Sunday night hadn't been very exciting, as usual. That seemed to be a popular trend with Sundays. My wife would get up and go to church at God, ironically, only knew when, always disturbing my quiet slumber. I always told myself to invest in one of those Tempur-Pedic mattresses so the stupid bitch wouldn't wake me. I guess that's what I get for wanting a water bed so badly.
I'd usually get up around noon on Sundays and stumble into my kitchen wearing my favorite Pac-Man shirt and some stained boxers of some vibrant color or another. Looking out my window at nothing in particular, I'd sip coffee from my Yellow Submarine mug. I hated coffee. I suppose all it really did was keep my senses numb so I didn't think about Saturday night as much.
Touching, caressing, feeling. My fingertips were on fire, her smooth skin burning under my touch.
Not that I didn't still think about Saturday night. Saturday night was always on my mind, especially on Sundays.
I was captivated with a certain idea earlier this week due to certain circumstances. I quickly built myself a fictitious world and began to imagine the framework. It came alive, and this is the result of five minutes of raw writing. I'll leave it open to interpretation for the time being, but keep in mind that this is a WIP that I'll continue soon. I just wanted to know what people thought so far.
