• windows 7 crashing

Hello tech support. My windows 7 installation has recently killed itself. I booted up my computer this morning and it got stuck at the logging in screen where it says "Welcome". When it manages past this screen the loading thing stays up for god knows how long and then it finally crashes with no errors. Any help is appreciated.
Probably a corrupt Windows installation, but to be sure I recommend downloading and burning Hirens Boot CD and using the Memtest 86+ tool on there to test your RAM and to use one of the disk testing tools to test your hard drive, if those 2 tests come out fine you'll probably have to reinstall Windows.
Hmm that's a shame. I did that already and they were fine. If I reinstall will my product key still work? The disk is an upgrade version not a custom install.
