They will probably continue releasing smaller indie titles they funded on Steam like Ori And The Blind Forest and Mark Of The Ninja, but leave the big first party titles for the Windows Store.

i can imagine it being a ubisoft thing where it'll load xbox in the background
Are they going to be using UWP on steam? Because if they are I won't be buying from them.
Are they going to be using UWP on steam? Because if they are I won't be buying from them.
Pretty sure UWP is so locked down that only the store can interface with it. Thank fuck for that honestly.
So they're putting most of their major franchises on PC too and you're all still bitching What can actually satisfy some of you
So they're putting most of their major franchises on PC too and you're all still bitching What can actually satisfy some of you
Being able to run a game without a program in the background that causes more problems than it's worth. Steam doesn't cause too many problems.

im perfectly fine with having to use another program if it means not having to get a console to play 3 games that I want to play.
Pretty sure UWP is so locked down that only the store can interface with it. Thank fuck for that honestly.
You can run any uwp game on the desktop without the store being activated at all. It works like an exe.
I wish people were tougher on stuff like this. I'd say, "no one has to play your games", but unfortunately there's people that are willing to deal with bullshit to play games. I don't feel compelled to play games using other people's services. I don't want to run GOG's client, Steam, Origin, UPlay, Windows Store... for fucks sake. I want these people to STOP.
I really don't want to have 15 different launchers on my PC, fucking hell.
I really don't want to have 15 different launchers on my PC, fucking hell.
No one is forcing you to buy said games.
They will probably continue releasing smaller indie titles they funded on Steam like Ori And The Blind Forest and Mark Of The Ninja, but leave the big first party titles for the Windows Store.
Those two games you mentioned were more interesting than any big first party Microsoft title I've seen tecently so I'm good.
Pretty sure UWP is so locked down that only the store can interface with it. Thank fuck for that honestly.
Spent the last 20 minutes finding when phil played Witcher 3 within UWP I think it had steam overlay access, not much can't find it though would help clarify shit if I knew where it was build 2015 I'll check out though [editline]18th June 2016[/editline] nope, was the same event though annoucned halo W2 I think [editline]18th June 2016[/editline] or not I'm really lost
I really don't want to have 15 different launchers on my PC, fucking hell.
Doesn't really matter when you're still on Win7. You can't play the games anyway. [editline]a[/editline] Ignoring that, it's literally three, all with "don't launch this on pc startup" options: Steam, Origin, and Uplay. No other grand-scale service requires you to even fucking touch the storefront after purchasing. I can hit the search button on my taskbar, type "Forza" or "Minecraft" and play Forza Apex or Minecraft Win10 Edition without even touching the store. The only way I can see them being a problem is if your computer is garbage and at that point playing Quantum Break or whatever should be the least of your concerns. [editline]a[/editline] It's not even like they're intrusive, either. Worst case scenario you have to open it to play it and take 2 seconds to disable the in-game overlay.
Atleast the windows 10 store isn't that shit, it works p nicely IMO so I don't have that much of a problem with it, esp w/ how it comes standard.
