The United States has used tactical nuclear weapons in its military campaign against Iraq and Afghanistan, a Middle East expert tells Press TV. “Tactical nuclear weapons were used, at least one in Iraq and several were used in Afghanistan --in the Tora Bora mountains,” Peter Eyre, a Middle East consultant, said. Eyre pointed out that the atomic bomb dropped on Afghanistan's Tora Bora region was so powerful that it actually created an earthquake there. The analyst went on to say that the use of such lethal weapons by US military, which is a gross violation of the Geneva Convention, has been sanctioned by the US presidents; thus they should be prosecuted for war crimes. "In America, the ultimate commander in chief is the president," Eyre said, adding that the President has the final say in using such weapons. The US is the first country in the world to develop nuclear weapons and the only one to use them. Thousands of people were killed in August 1945, when the US bombers dropped atomic bombs on Japan's Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The US invaded Afghanistan in 2001 under the pretext of toppling the Taliban regime, claiming that the militants have refused to hand over Osama bin Laden. The US also invaded Iraq in 2003 under the excuse of destroying alleged weapons of mass destruction (WMD) belonging to former dictator Saddam Hussein. Many civilians, including women and children, have been killed as a result of these wars. The US-led war in Afghanistan, with civilian and military casualties at record highs, has become the longest war in the US history.
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/212827.html Obviously a load of shit, but somewhat humorous to see how disjointed the news source is. Note Iranian domain. In the earlier stages of the post 9/11 wars, the US dropped BLU-82s (daisy cutters, large bombs dropped out the holds of cargo aircraft designed in vietnam to clear landing spaces in dense jungle) in the aforementioned Tora Bora region.
Need a better source.
I........ I dont know. If this is true then i shall expect hellfire by tomorrow. EDIT: I would like a better source though, as the above person points out. EDIT 2: Its most likely a big hoax made by people who just want america to get nuked, but still, its possible.
Obvious load of shit

Don't believe this at all. Not only is there no evidence aside from hearsay, but why the fuck would the U.S. drop a nuke on a mountain range bordering one of their allies that they desperately require to keep their foothold in the region?

You can tell by their website that they're fueled by anti-american propaganda.
How would you secretly use a nuke? Wouldn't that be about on par with destroying something by secretly riding Godzilla into the area?
Tactical nukes are still fairly large. If we dropped them, someone would have noticed the moment it happened.
Tactical nukes are still fairly large. If we dropped them, someone would have noticed the moment it happened.
That and the residual fallout would have been detected incredibly fast. Again, Obvious bullshit.
[citation needed]
Yeah, people have noticed secret nuclear tests merely through seismic listening stations. Not to mention fallout.
Because a news source from Iran is totally unbiased towards the US right?
Jesus christ you scared me to shit, here. How about a LITTLE FUCKING LESS sensationalist headline here? I thought they used them like, just now, and shit is about to go down.
It's a large news corporation in Iran, they have 24 hour TV channels and what not. You can tell by their website that they're fueled by anti-american propaganda.
Source is Iranian? Then this is probably propaganda. Also just pointing out a nuke for the most part is only useful as a threat. Letting them off the chain is downright retarded because not only of the whole "potentially cause nuclear war and wipe out entire world" thing but also the fact that the fallout renders the area uninhabitable and dangerous to the surrounding areas, which is much to high a price to pay considering nuclear weapons aren't even the most powerful ones we have.
If the U.S. had done it, the entire world would have noticed.
Because a news source from Iran is totally unbiased towards the US right?
I posted it more as a humor piece, and an example of dishonest media in the region. PressTV has quite a bit of the market in the area, so what they say gets pretty far.
Whew, the title made me think my country did something super retarded. I make my declaration now, the majority of this thread will be people posting about how they shit themselves before they read the article.
Also, "US used nukes on Ir.." is one hell of a cliffhanger from the main page.
JESUS CHRIST
aha, the great satan has showed its hand at last
Fuck my goddam heart jesus christ OP edit that title to like Iran claims US used nukes in Iraq/Afghanistan
No. Foreign relations, IAEA e.t.c. It was probably just a large bunker-buster or some shit.
Tactical nukes are still fairly large. If we dropped them, someone would have noticed the moment it happened.
Well, weren't we wrong as hell about what was actually in Tora Bora, which they mentioned? If we dropped a mod 11 in the middle of nowhere on the lowest setting and it squibbed or detonated way the fuck underground because it penetrated sand not concrete, who'd notice? Though I just kinda like the idea of whiffing with a nuke, obviously that didn't happen.
Sesationalist title of the year all years
It's like we want to start a war With all the shit NATO's been giving Iraq

What a load of shit. But lets say it is true, how would the US even hide it? even if all the countries were in on it and the media was being manipulated, someone somewhere would have noticed something was up.
No. Foreign relations, IAEA e.t.c. It was probably just a large bunker-buster or some shit.
Daisy cutters are extremely high yield bombs.
