I think a better understanding for the general public about Internet security is in need.
This happens everyday. Especially with people who their security question is favorite food and the answer is Pizza.
An email asking for credit card details, sounds legit.
Knowing console peasants they will fall for it.
This is nothing new I've seen tons of people I knew fall for the "Free Microsoft Points" bullcrap all the time
Good to know that something that happened for years gets media coverage, better late than never, I guess.
It's actually pretty easy to get your account back if it's hacked. Providing that you react quick enough so that they don't change your address and every little detail of personal info. But Xbox Support still has previous info and if you can give them the correct information, they'll grant you the account.
