So I have some spare cash, and a lot of free time and I've been wanting to travel.
United Kingdom is a place I've always wanted to visit and I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions or tips for me. I was thinking of going to London (according to Facepunch.) if not, either: Manchester, Reading or Leeds. What do you guys think?

Yeh, its a good place..if you go to the right place.
Don't go north, full of twats who think the only way to resolve something is by hitting it repeatedly, unless you want to go to the Lake District of course, but i would recommend you go to London first and make your way "up"
Manchester reading or leeds? what? Go to London. It's the best city in the UK.
It's easy to get around, so many transport options.
It's massive too.
Lots to see and do.
Go to London, the north is a horrific place.
Manchester out of the three you've given us there but if you could goto london goto london cause thats better!
I would go to Norway and Sweden if I visited Europe.
London's pretty much the only place you want to be going here, there really isn't all that much to do anywhere else.
Yea take one person along with you, there's shitloads of interesting museums (Science Museum is my fav). London Dungeons is educational yet semi-scary (not if you've been to it 6 times like me :v:). Aquarium, Madame Tussauds, and they have loads and loads of parks to sit and eat. Lotsa stuff to do
Seems the majority here want me to go to London. Any spots I should hit up if I'm there?
As many of the large attractions as possible. There are some nice pieces of history in London. Also bring a stab proof vest and some torches (the burning kind). You'll need something to ward the chavs off, and fire works best as they tend to drown themselves in flammable deoderants.
I live in London, here right now liek. When you thinking of doing this? I might have to stalk you.
Visit Garry

Yeah, I was thinking about checking out some attractions, museums and shit. I like learning about the history and seeing the lifestyle of a different culture, although we're realitivlty the same.
lolchavs. Are they really that bad? I have a few friends that live in the U.K and they say they're just little shits.
What's with all the southern jessies hating on the North in here?
What's with all the southern jessies hating on the North in here?
bloody northern fairies
To put it simpl:
the North of the UK compared to the south of the UK is like
the North of America compared to the South of America.
Except, the North is full of british hillbillies, and the south is full of british people.
Does that make sense?

You have to admit, the north is far less kind to tourists
Come to Birmingham, be an ethnic minority.

Hey, I live in the north

You just dodged a bullet there
Come to Suffolk, we have... erm... feilds, and serial prostitute murderers.

Yes, do science museum, its free. Also :science:.
Yeah I would advise going to London, even though it is a bit of a cliche place to go it is pretty great.
Go to the usual tourist spots at first but then explore a little, just stay away from the East side.
Despite living in London I am always discovering new places, but I like central London the best.

Oh yes. Absolutely. But at least if he comes to Manchester he might actually meet some British people. When I go to London I spend my whole time being served by people who have been in the country for about a month and I can barely tell what they're saying. I'm not racist, but it's embarrassing to have to say "hm?" about fifty times before I work out what's being said.
Oh and they don't have meat and potato pasties in Gregg's so I could never live there.

Not really. Most of the south is just as full of illiterate morons as the north, especially London, and London has far more immigrants than any northern city per British national. If I'm entirely honest, I'd rather live in Manchester than in one of the home counties based on my experiences with people there.
South bank is good, knightsbridge etc is too, Harrods is interesting but don't go there with a girlfriend.
Go to Scotland, heard it's a nice place
