i'd laugh if as soon as the xbox one ditched kinect and dropped $100 the PS4 also dropped in price to something like $349
I mean, it's not really that impossible since they are already turning a profit on the system.
I think it's a no shit that people buy things when they're cheaper.

Its almost like if clouds are in the sky, its probably going to rain..
I don't really understand why people are even buying the new consoles. So far I haven't seen much to throw down hundreds for yet.
This just in, droping a item's price increases demand! In other news, gravity pulls items towards the surface of the earth!

Here is a interesting tid bit for you guys.
I bought a PS3 for a fraction of the amount (About £120, a Killing in my honest opinion.) and i could have bought a new xbox 360 and it still probably would have been under the price for the new generation.
If they had backwards compatibility that would be a different story but they fucked themselves royally and now i don't see a point in buying one until a year or so.

It's like buying a 4k tv.
Nothing really supports the resolution yet but people still want the newest thing

the mindset of people buying new things is that they expect they could get ahead in the game when more shit comes out that supports the new features...

A.k.a. consumerism.

They're can be clouds in the sky and it won't rain.
And yet I still don't want one.

Backwards compatibility would be immensely difficult if you decide to emulate or rather expensive if you do the PS3 thing of having PS2 chips in it.
Hell, there wasn't much point to the backwards compatibility of the Xbox 360 at launch considering Halo 2 and friends didn't have working Xbox Live support.

not that they don't want to, but they literally can't.
