• Three screen configuration - portrait or landscape?

I just ordered two more Dell 2007WFPB 20.1" 1680x1050 monitors (I already have one) and I was wondering on your opinion. Should I run them all in portrait and have more of a balance between wide and tall or should I have them all in landscape and have a super wide configuration? Most of the content I work with is vertically long (lots of information on a page at one time, client records and whatnot), however I think it'd be a bit more awkward playing games on such a configuration. One landscape and two portrait is out of the question because they are all widescreen 20.1".

I already said that's out of the question because the sizes are all the same. :v:
Wow, you actually didn't call me faggot because I was too lazy to read. i love you Anyway, I personally like Landscape better cause you have a wider usage. oh, rate me useful: Landscape: Portrait:
Having it in portraitx3 also kind of hinders my ability to watch movies now that I think about it.. :saddowns:
I know you said "you can't" but here is a vote for PLP. Nothing wrong with mismatched sizes :3. Out of your options in vote, LLL.
screen configs
The whole angled thing with video games wont really work for me either because I have them all directly mounted onto VESA mounts that are drilled into my wall (tl;dr flat on the wall). :saddowns: [editline]10:39PM[/editline]
I know you said "you can't" but here is a vote for PLP. How do you know? His eyes are behind glasses... or is that the joke :tinfoil:
good god divine, the color shift
good god divine, the color shift
Eh?
Eh?
look how horribly messed up the colors are on the left/right monitors
You really shouldn't use 3x portrait if you have monitors with TN panels. The viewing angle is awful.
Landscape. Portrait is just... No. And just run games on one monitor. Using three stretches it to that weird level.
look how horribly messed up the colors are on the left/right monitors
Ah. This monitor has very good viewing angles, but I'm not going to be playing games across three monitors anyways.
Ummm... Gaming with three monitors is fine if he has the resources. Eyefinity doesn't stretch the image, it just increases your field of view.
landscape landscape landscape
or
portrait portrait portrait
if you can get a fourth one
landscape portrait landscape portrait
I find portrait landscape portrait quite comfortable to use, like this: http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u101/JOVH/DSCF0711.jpg?t=1282818692 . You have 2 veritcal workspaces and one normal landscape for gaming/general use.
There is no use in having a resolution higher then X*1200 so go for landscape.
