I haven't watched a single one of these movies.

Drive - Lon Bender and Victor Ray Ennis
what is it doing there?
A bit disappointed Andy Serkis wasn't nominated for his performance as Caesar in Planet of the Apes.
I've heard of four of those movies and watched none of them.
Not one movie that isn't a chick flick or a kids movie.
Fuck yes! Battle Pony for Best Picture!
[editline]24th January 2012[/editline]
Shit I mean War Horse
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close for Best Picture? Are they serious?
Where is Tilda Swinton for We Need to Talk About Kevin?
Moneyball should win picture of the year.
Easily the best baseball movie of all-time and such a good movie otherwise.

He goes largely ignored because his acting is unorthodox. Sad, really.
Not one movie that isn't a chick flick or a kids movie.
Not to mention, the amount of serious action films that are rated R that comes out today is ridiculously sparse
Seriously, I haven't seen ONE of those movies.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close wasn't a good movie. I was certain that Drive and Rise of the Planet of Apes would have a bigger Oscar presence. I probably won't watch the Oscars this year.
Hugo getting 11 nominations is quite ridiculous.
Oscar nominations are usually movies only cinephiles know about, that are 2deep4u.
On the other hand of the spectrum, if it wasn't like that, then it'd be like the Video Game Awards...

A lot of reviewers called it Oscar bait. I guess they were right. I haven't watched it, but apparently the main character is really obnoxious, is that true?
Very weak year to be honest, next awards should be more interesting with the movies that are coming up.
Where the fuck is Drive? Oscars are so much shit, War Horse and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close don't deserve best picture nominations.
I just fucking hope the Artist win for everything then.
Is this the first time that a Pixar movie hasn't been nominated in the animation category?
I am pretty disappointed Rise of the Planet of the Apes got *nothing.* Andy Serkis really needs to get credit for his work. Didn't he get nominated for Gollum at one point? And Drive only in Sound Editing?
Seriously, this was like how Letters from Iwo Jima only got nominated for Sound Editing (Actually, considering the movies that end up in this category, I feel like there's a trend to stick very good but not as well-known movies in here).
Is this the first time that a Pixar movie hasn't been nominated in the animation category?
It was Cars 2. Who in their right mind would vote Cars 2 for best animated film?
Very weak year to be honest, next awards should be more interesting with the movies that are coming up.
Every award will be divided up between DKR and The Hobbit
Gary Oldman is finally nominated for an Oscar? YAY!
I'm pretty sure that this year's going to have a lot of really good movies coming out, or at least, movies that I've heard about.
DKR, The Hobbit, Life of Pi (Holy fuck am I excited about this one), The Great Gatsby, Lincoln, a whole bunch of movies.
Of course, Scary Movie 5 is coming out, too, so I know that there's crappy ones coming, too.
Edit: Apparently that Keanu Reeves movie about the 47 Ronin is coming out in November. Your mileage may vary as to whether that's a good or a bad thing.
Is there alot of money in getting an oscar nomination? because it looks that way considering we need to talk about kevin not there for best cinematography whereas warhorse is. And the fact that drive isn't anywhere. I heard you need alot of money to run for an oscar, but doesn't that defeat the point?
The Oscars won't even recognize Hans Zimmer as a composer so fuck those backwards clowns (due to the way he credits his soundtracks)
Ironically he's this year's musical adviser/technician for them with Pharrell Williams
Jonah Hill is now an oscar nominee. How did this happen? At least they finally gave Gary Oldman a nom though.

I don't know what else he did last year but the Rango soundtrack was fantastic.
These nominees fucking suck.
War Horse wasn't even that great
Hugo was pretty good but best picture?
Where the hell is Drive? Easily the best picture of the year.
Moneyball should win picture of the year.

Moneyball had no baseball in it and gave away 99% of the plot in the trailer. I really didn't think much of it.
