• Making hosting in GTA IV actually work?

I have done everything I can think of, and opened all the ports that the guides on the internet told me to, but still, GFWL reports that my nat is "strict". These are the ports that I have opened: I've also enabled UPNP but it seems it does jack shit.
are you sure .20 is your IP? [editline]4th February 2012[/editline] also try http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937424
Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 80. Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 3074. Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP port 88 Port forwarding must be enabled on the UDP and TCP port 53 Port forwarding must be enabled on the TCP port 443
[editline]4th February 2012[/editline] you seem to be missing 443
As sure as can be
also, are you forwarding them or just opening them (like you said)? completely different and what AV/firewalls are you running
MSE, and I didn't know that there was a different form of getting through ports? But I checked, and apparently I have forwarded them. [editline]4th February 2012[/editline] Firewalls are disabled, both on PC and router.
Try the IP 192.168.1.1 this is the router itself. This was what fixed my problem when my ports weren't opening.
Is Upnp enabled on the router?
Yeah, I enabled UPNP on both my PC and router. [editline]4th February 2012[/editline]
Try the IP 192.168.1.1 this is the router itself. Try ipconfig /release then /renew? idk
Weird question I know, but when starting GTAIV do you log-in on the Social Clup prompt, or do you just press Play (offline) ??

Anyone? This fucking sucks. [editline]5th February 2012[/editline] OH wow, my router was at port 90 and somehow, that broke UPNP. Now UNPN works, and so does GTA. Fucking yes!
That's weird, my router doesn't support UPnP at all, and i can host just fine..
welp you are lucky to ahve port 80 open
