Has anybody here ever removed keys from a backlit keyboard?

Because my dumb dad decided to eat crackers over my g110 and compressed air isn't getting the crumbs out, and due to my ocd, it must be removed.
So has anybody here removed the keys from a backlit keyboard? if i do remove them, will there be any change in the lighting? i just want to be safe
There shouldn't be any difference and they've probably engineered it so that you can clean it... If it doesn't work after cleaning, yell "FUCK YOU" with your fists shaking in the air.
just pop them off like normal, it's no different with logitech keyboards.
I want to clean my G110 too, but I just have to know that popping the keys out won't do any damage to it at all.
ah okay, i was curious to whether or not the leds are in the keys and have some wire connecting them. I guess not, thanks!
if it's anything like the G11/15v1 the backlighting is under the keys

Take out one key you dont care about to much like "scrlk" then put it back in. You can only learn form mistakes/successes.
what happens is the G15 only has a FEW LEDs, and they shine directly into the edge of a thick piece of plexi, which then distributes all the light.
I doubt it's any different for the 110
good idea, ill do that
