26 August 2011 Last updated at 15:57 ETHelp A self-styled "ninja" is patrolling the streets of Yeovil in a bid to make the town a safer place. Martial arts expert and father-of-two Ken Andre, 33, also known as Shadow, has been monitoring the streets of the Somerset town for the past six years. Clinton Rogers reports.
Source here (VIDEO) ^Video is the real content^
The hero Yeovil deserves
"In other news a string of mutilated bodies by sword have been found across the city"
The hero Yeovil deserves
But not the one it needs right now.
what a great idea, show everyone on tv your wife and kids pal
This is cool, but does he actually have to act like a ninja? I think it just makes him look like an idiot.
This is cool, but does he actually have to act like a ninja? I think it just makes him look like an idiot.
He's a martial arts expert, if he can pull off the ninja thing, it's cool in my book.
I bet he has a real sword and he just swapped out the fake one for day time and for the interview.
When I was a kid I though it would be awesome to be a vigilante who protected the strets of LA and killed gang leaders with my custom ammunition that had shards of cut up pennies to replace the pellets in shotgun shells.
I laughed when his story he decided to share was how he scared off a few kids who were shooting the swans with their BB guns. I was expecting him to have caught a burglar or something to get news attention. If anything this will just cause some kids to try and attack him. Which will go down badly for them seeing as hes a martial arts expert.
Seriously badass.
We need more of these people, sacrificing their own time to make society a better place.
Thats really odd. If I saw a "ninja" running around I would probably call the cops.
There's a guy around my ways that does similar, only dressed as a Kendo Practitioner
I like how we walks around with his little Kamehameha wave stance
"Hey, you! Yeah, you! If I see you around here one more time, I will kill you with this foam katana. Oh, you think I am kidding?" *snip* (User was banned for this post ("Shock image" - Hexxeh))
We need more of these people, sacrificing their own time to make society a better place.
We need more policemen, adequately trained and instructed, than weird vigilantes who've seen too many martial arts films.
"Hey, you! Yeah, you! If I see you around here one more time, I will kill you with this foam katana. Oh, you think I am kidding?" *snip*
Oh god why did i click that
Oh god why did i click that
Why the fuck did you quote it? My eyes are burning with the force of a billion microwaves now (for those blessed with coming in late, it was a decapitated corpse)
It's that guy from the Stealth thread
Never heard of Yeovil. It would be useful if they said what country it was in...
Now I know where to go steal lawn ornaments.
NINJA NAMED SHADOW. HUGE NEWS SOURCE REPORTS ON SAID NINJA.
real ninjas don't get caught on camera.
It would be pretty freaky if some guy walked around with a plague masks and if you ever saw him he would stare at you, when you walk a way to runs towards you, like endermen.
Never heard of Yeovil. It would be useful if they said what country it was in...
It's the BBC.
It's the BBC.
Brazillian Bartering Cart?
Brazillian Bartering Cart?
Baked Basil Cake. I don't blame you for not having heard of them, they're fairly minor.
This guy is just waiting to be killed, He seems like the kind of guy local tough guys would go looking to beat up just for a laugh, Also was anyone else entertained by his wifes reaction when they asked if she thought her husband being a ninja was odd, I feel like they must have a lot of "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST SUPPORT Me?!" conversations for her to so cooly say "well I wouldn't marry a ninja if I thought that was odd"
He sits atop the local cathedral every night singing folk songs.
