I got a budget of $800 for building a new computer (i'll probably be ordering the parts on black friday). This is my first build so i'd like to know what suggestions facepunchers have. I don't to have to fit mouse, keyboard, speakers, OS, DVD/CD drive or monitor into that budget. Also i prefer intel. I forgot to add that i'll be gaming on this (MW2, L4D2, pretty much any RTS you can think of, BIOshock 2 when it comes out, etc.)
A couple of things. MSI 500 Watts 4890
there's nothing wrong with MSI, there's nothing wrong with a 4890 (tbh, it's more powerful than a 5770 although it lacks dx11 and eyefinity) and there's nothing wrong with a 500W psu with that build [editline]05:51PM[/editline] http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.294655 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152102 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136167 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811129042 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102858 Total: $766 AMD Phenom II X4 955 MSI Motherboard 4GB RAM Samsung 1TB HDD Cooler Master 500W PSU Antec 300 Case Sapphire Radeon HD 5770
A couple of things. MSI 500 Watts 4890
Sorry but that's the best AM3 motherboard you can get. 4890 beats the 5770.
Sorry but that's the best AM3 motherboard you can get. 4890 beats the 5770.
5770 will most likely beat the 4890 once mature drivers are released. Asus > MSI in my opinion, also cheaper, which that difference can be used to go and get higher specs in general
