Are there any out there? a £30 monitor that isnt bad, maybe... idk... 15"? please tell
look in your local newspaper or what ever you have that has used items for sale, and look for a monitor there.
Maybe an used one...
I don't think you can get a new monitor for that amount of money. Second-hand is your best bet, and even then you're pushing it.
You could probably get like a 20" CRT for that price...

Look for local computer surplus stores. I picked up a $300 21" Sony Trinitron CRT for $20. One of the best monitors I've ever owned.
Look for local computer surplus stores. I picked up a $300 21" Sony Trinitron CRT for $20. One of the best monitors I've ever owned.
$300 maybe in 1999.
I managed to get a 15" LCD monitor off Ebay for £20 before, I had to go and collect it though, but it was only 10 minutes away.
$300 maybe in 1999.
Actually large high quality CRTs made for professionals are still pretty expensive, considering they can get some pretty legit color reproduction.
Actually large high quality CRTs made for professionals are still pretty expensive, considering they can get some pretty legit color reproduction.
that made me laugh, professionals, hahaha
I had a Sony CRT designed for studio installations (Was designed with colour accuracy in mind) was a shame that it kept blowing components on the syncing boards =( - the image was superb.
Crts still rape everything its just common people don't need that clear of color and their hot and suck power :sigh: I miss my 19inch Dell design monitor my dad got from work.
To be honest I haven't seen any LCD Displays yet withtin a managable price bracket with blacks as good as even cheap-ass CRTs... The reason is obvious, It's harder to block light with polarisation (LCD) than it is to not have the light there in the first place (CRT)
You can not get a "nice" one for that price.
