I'm an American with a budget limited to $200. I would prefer to stay a fair way under that, but if the quality is outstanding I would go up to it.
Here's what I'm looking for:
-Surround sound. Preferably 7.1, but 5.1 will suffice if it is cost effective.
-A quality mic. I'm going to be using this for gaming.
-Something without a lot of extra adapters or cords.
Of course, I am willing to make exceptions depending upon what the headsets bring to the table. Any help anyone can offer me in my selection would be appreciated. I'll even throw in a free heart for those I like :P

Don't worry about surround sound on a headset, just get some nice stereo headphones.
No need to spend so much on a headset with the Carcharias is am amazing headset, costs 70 dollars, 60 some places, you can hear really far away, amazing for a stereo headset. It is incredibly light and comfortable. Depending on your stance with open ear, you will either love it or hate it, i personally love it because i like listening to my tv with my headset on. If i am in to a game, i can just turn it off and i have no other outside noises. The only down side is the microphone, which SOME TIMES can be a little quite, but this only happens with a small percentage of the headsets. Mine only gets quite if i blow in to it. The cord is great, braided, nice add on and very long. The headset has a very nice solid construction, doesn't feel cheap at all.
