The only reason i'm not playing doom's multiplayer is because i pretty much only play FFA Deathmatch.
Cosidering FFA DM is pretty much what a good majority of oldschool id multiplayer games are known for, they should've seen that not having it on release was a mistake. Outsourcing the MP was probably the single largest mistake they could've made, with PC mod tools being a close second.

But i don't get why they bothered making it in to 'this', its not 2005, almost nobody cares for the half-arsed tacked-on multiplayer anymore. Doubling down on the snapmap, or doing campaign coop, or something totally different, seems like it would have been a better place to spend their time if they wanted multiplayer that badly.
