laptop #2
GPU Nvidia 360 GTS
CPU i7
so MSI is better because of the GPU right .?
Msi

holy shit the ASUS has a 120Hz display
MSI, plus an i5 seems more practical for gaming than an i7.

okay i5 is better than i7 ?!
no i7 is better than i5 but i5 is better for gaming
off topic: :cawg: gaming laptops
no i7 is better than i5 but i5 is better for gaming

how is i5 better for gaming ?
how is i5 better for gaming ?
The i5 is more ideal because not many games and programs take advantage of 6 cores. Processor speed is also just as important.
so pretty much not only the GPU is better for the MSI and CPU and it's cheaper way fucking cheaper okay thanks

i7 doesn't have 6 cores, it has 4 with hyper threading

i5 is not better for gaming, the i7 will outperform it, it's just better for the average gamer because it costs less
i7 doesn't have 6 cores, it has 4 with hyper threading
My mistake. Although there's a pricy i7 with 6 cores.
Nope, the best is a 840qm which is 1.83ghz rather than 1.6.
The 120Hz display is poo Odellus. It's only 1366x768 iirc.
so pretty much go with mSi go it
how is i5 better for gaming ?
Better price/performance ratio.
[editline]11:08PM[/editline]
Yeah, go with the MSI
I looked and from the looks of it the extra $600 (MSI 1100-1200))(ASUS 1700-1800)
is pretty much for the 3D
so yea the only thing this ASUS haves is 3D
Msi

Probably for what seems to be 3d
Probably for what seems to be 3d
so that's what I am paying for
I have the MSI GX640 myself. Great laptop and the game performance is wonderful. Does tend to turn up the fan a few notches over time because the Mobility HD5850 needs to stay cool.

you mean the fan becomes load at times but out of 10 what would you give it.?
This is better then my desktop :saddowns:
This is better then my desktop :saddowns:
which.?
the asus has a high refresh rate because it is for 3d.
the asus has a high refresh rate because it is for 3d.
so you say go for the ASUS on then.?
Hard pick. The G51 has lots of problems (according to the reviews) and I really haven't heard of MSI.

My friend got it too, and the GPU swarms around 90 degrees Celsius when he play BF:BC2.

is that a bad/good/okay thing.?
Bad thing.
[editline]03:37PM[/editline]
Go for the MSI.
I have almost the same specs on my desktop ( i5 750, 5850, 4 gigs of ram ) and it runs every game I play on it.
