Alright, so video games keep crashing on my system for no apparent reason. Here are my specs:
ATI Radeon 3600 Series
ATI Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.3 GHz
3GB Ram
The problem is that the games freeze, the screen goes black, and then I get a black window. I can hear the sounds from the game but I can't see anything.
Here is my HWMonitor results with Borderlands on default settings:
CPU Core 1 out of game temp: 41 C (105 F)
CPU Core 1 in game temp: 73 C (162 F)
CPU Core 2 out of game temp: 38 C (100 F)
CPU Core 2 in game temp: 76 C (168 F)
Video card out of game temp: 61 C (141 F)
Video card in game temp: 102 C (215 F)
Could this be a power supply or cooling issue? Would dusting the inside of my system and fans work? I have a new video card (Nvidia Gforce GTS 250, if i'm not mistaken, and I plan on buying a new power supply sometime in the new future)

Almost forgot to mention - Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit with ATI Catalyst 9.10 release drivers.
The videocard is way to hot.
Had a feeling, but I need to know how to cool it. Dust the system? New power supply?

Forgot to add, this JUST started happening around the time I upgraded from vista to windows 7, so I think there's still hope I don't need to buy new hardware to get this all working again.
If there is alot of dust inside ya clean it all out. I don't think windows7 has anything to do with temps.
Also if that doesn't help try leaving the side of the case off.
Having a video card running @ 102C won't make it survive for long. Remove all the dust in your case, if that doesn't help check the airflow inside you computer.
I just dusted the computer, gonna check if that does anything. If not, i'll open the case and have a fan running into the system. Results soon.

Out of game temp: 36 C
Borderlands:
In game temp: 40-60 C
Red Faction:
In game temp: 45-60 C
Batman - Arkham:
In game temp: 44-67 C
No crashing yet, played each for about 20 minutes. Looks like i'm good for now, thanks guys.
