How do i open my iPhone 3gs?
Does it cost anything to get my iPhone 3gs checked?
How does i fix my iPhone if it wont be turned on(no dirty jokes)?
Why did my iPhone 3gs survive 5 days with snow and rain, but not to be dried?
I want answers if you have any, and please keep the boxes to a minimal, I'm just a guy like you, who got his first I'device from his dad, and it fell out of my pocket when i ran over a snowy field to get to my family dinner (even how dumb it sounds, I'm serious!) : )
1. Open it? Do you mean physically or as in to open files? To open it you'll need a screwdriver, but remember Apple devices do not have removable batteries. As for opening files on the device, you will need iTunes
2. It should be free under warranty, although I'm not sure if Apple will repair it if it's due to water damage
3. Plug it into the computer and see if iTunes detects it. If it doesn't, you'll have to put it into DFU mode. There are instructions all over the internet for this, it's not too complicated.
4. I'm not sure what you mean by "but not to be dried". I saw a video on youtube once where someone dropped there iPhone in a swimming pool, got it back out and it still worked perfectly. It appears that they can be quite resistant to water, but don't risk it. They're not designed to be waterproof
it worked fine after i picked it up, but it was fog on the screen so i put it in the oven so it would ''dry'' of. but anyways thank you my savior!

Take a look in the headphone jack, or in the dock connector. If there's pink in there, it'll be classed as liquid damage and won't be covered under warranty.
If you're having issues getting it to work with iTunes, you could try doing a hard reset by holding the Home+Power buttons for 10 seconds and letting it start up. Also, restarting the computer does help.
