I realise that answers may be a little sparce...but fire away, I'm very interested!
With a vague question like that, its kind of hard to answer. From when I was last there, most people were very nice. Obviously, you'll need to know Japanese. Almost no one there is Bi-lingual. Japanese people have a tendency to speak quite fast, at least where I was born. I never did visit Tokyo, so I can't say the same for there. The winters are cold, but not too bad. The summers and springs are just beautiful outside the bigger citys. I'd help more, but the question, as stated before, is kind of vague.
With the question being so vague it pretty much means "Tell me everything you know" :v:
Ahh. I see. Well, I was born in Hokkaido, so my thoughts may not apply to all of Japan. Are you planning on traveling to Japan? Or are you just looking for personal opinions?
It's all kawaii n shit.
I've heard that in some areas Japanese people can be very cold to outsiders / caucasians?
I've heard that in some areas Japanese people can be very cold to outsiders / caucasians?
Not entirely true. The closest you'll get to Japanese people giving you the cold shoulder is in Tokyo or the small villages and farmlands outside of the towns, from some of my friends' encounters. Besides that, most of Japan is usually nice.
I've heard that in some areas Japanese people can be very cold to outsiders / caucasians?
As with any nation in the world that's looking upon an outsider? Not everyone hates outsiders though, right?

My cousin is British and many of the towns in Hokkaido and Aomori welcomed him. I don't speak for all of Japan, though. To give everyone a better idea of what Im talking about, heres something to help:
Going back to Japan come mid next year with a few mates, which will be the first time without the fam. I've been countless times to Japan (mainly Yokohama, and Tokyo), however I've only ever gone during Winter (which is freakishly cold, when compared to Australia's winters), I find it crazy when you see the younger women walking around with short skirts in that sort of weather. This time we're thinking either sometime in April or June, April seems to be the best time to go being the start of spring, meaning spring break, and hopefully more things to do. The only problem I have with June is that it's labelled as the rainy season, whilst it may not rain all the time, it can be overcast a majority of the time, right? And it should also be less busy during June, hopefully. So basically April or June?
If you like anime then fuck you cause their government admits they are ashamed of it.
They sell canned vaginas in vending machines.
Any more on this? Thanks guys :v:
I've heard that in some areas Japanese people can be very cold to outsiders / caucasians?
I went to japan for a school trip and part of that was going to their schools. The japanese kids would ask me for my autograph and for photos with me :v:

I've always wanted to go to Japan. I'm currently trying to learn Japanese but without another person to practice with it's proving to be slightly more difficult than I anticipated. Someday though, someday.
Lived in Japan for 6 years and if I could've chosen, I would've not left :(
