This week in my class (It's called rock band it's basically a class of a bunch of people in separate bands, no not the video game) our assignment is to play a blues song. Last week we did Come Together, it was great (Last Week it was whatever you wanted to play) But this week we need a song and we can't think of any blues song, someone suggested Slow Ride by Foghat, but I don't think that's blues is it? Anyways anything good and hopefully well heard of is appreciated, keep in mind we aren't amazing so no crazy hard songs.
Play some Stevie Ray Vaughn, extremely simple for a blues band (minus some of their songs on guitar) I'm sure you have to have one of his albums somewhere, just listen to texas flood or something and pick a song that sounds easy.
If you do a song by Muddy Waters you should get a pretty decent mark.

Who the fuck thought Slow Ride was a blues song? Anyway yeah, as the others said, do a Muddy Waters song.
If you know anyone who can play Harmonica, you should definitely play some Little Walter.
Or if you would rather play something more rockish you could do Lemon Song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39P9vpH5aCw
That's a fucking rad song. I haven't listened to Zeppelin in forever.
Screw your band, get a slide and play some delta.
I think that's alternative.
If you listen to their earlier stuff it's rad
Dust My Broom by any artist you may like. For example, Elmore James version, some awesome slide there! Or maybe Let The Good Times Roll by B.B. King if you're gonna play something energetic! ;)
The Thrill is Gone, Born under a Bad Sign, whatever slow blues you can think of.
Well no we are playing Hound Dog -Elvis, I don't know why because I don't think that is blues, but our teacher allowed it so whatever.
rockabilly
SRV would be the best.
YOu're teacher is gay and doesn't know shit
Well no we are playing Hound Dog -Elvis, I don't know why because I don't think that is blues, but our teacher allowed it so whatever.
Hound Dog is a blues song, it was originally recorded by Big Mama Thorton. Elvis version is more of a rockabilly version, but it's still blues. I like both versions.
It ain't blues it's rockabilly

[editline]04:28AM[/editline] Muddy Waters is different from Elvis
Muddy Waters, B.B. Kind, Moody Blues, Jimi Hendrix. Shit's all good.
