Strange Days is a cyberpunk film directed by Katherine Bigelow of Hurt Locker fame, adapted from a script by James Cameron. Starring Ralph Fiennes, Angela Bassett, Juliette Lewis, and Tom Sizemore
I saw it for the first time recently and I loved it. Maybe just because I have a sweet tooth for cyberpunk, but honestly this really is the textbook example of a good cyberpunk movie, right up there with Blade Runner, Robocop, and The Matrix.
One of the most interesting things in this movie is seeing a classy actor like Ralph Fiennes play an utter sleazeball like Larry Nero
Derp, I fucked up the thread title
Looks pretty neat.
Anywhere I can watch it?
Oh yeah, I've seen this. It was pretty good.
great movie, there was a part at the end which gave me goosebumps. Need to watch it again.
Yeah, party like it's 1999!
Love cyberpunk, there isn't enough decent stuff out there. I will check this out. For some reason it kind of reminds me of Johnny Neumonic, at least the visuals, but with a better cast apparently.
Shit I remember seeing a bit of this years ago and being obsessed with trying to find out what it was.

That's because The Matrix killed off the genre because it was so good. No, seriously, nearly every post-matrix cyberpunk movie performs poorly because people see it as a matrix ripoff.
Nowadays what's more popular is post-cyberpunk, which is sort of like Inception or Mirror's Edge, and even in some respects the new Deus Ex, where cyberpunk elements are still present, but the atmosphere is much less oppressive and gritty and more realistic. Corporations can still play host as an antagonistic force, but they don't go out of their way to cover stuff up and they aren't openly "evil".
