Why an ARG for an update on a mostly dead game? No matter how hyped up they make it it's not going to work that well.
http://steamcharts.com/app/275850 Oh boy those 600 people are really hyped up at the moment.
I wasn't involved in the hype train and I realized I'd seen everything the game had to offer after 3 planets. Its a huge game of nothing.
I've been following along for the hell of it http://wiki.gamedetectives.net/index.php?title=Waking_Titan theres a fuckin lot thats been done also http://www.aliceandsmith.com/ are confirmed to be creating and running it along with hello games which means that this is HIGH QUALITY ARG
I am still waiting for the game to appear in Humble Bundle and then snatch it, asking 59,99€ for that game is just insane.
I wish Alternate Reality Game here meant we got the No Man's Sky from an alternate reality where it didn't suck.
And I'm one of them. I picked the game up on sale for half price. I'll be the single voice of dissent here and say that I really enjoy the game and it's actually really fun if you can catch it on sale. I never followed the MASSIVE hype train so I mostly went into it blind... and honestly I'm quite happy with it. Also I would like to call out people for shitting on content in a game they don't even play or haven't even tried for more than 5 minutes. Is it as good as the hype said it would be? I don't know - again, I never followed that shit. But what the game has now is quite enjoyable especially if you like slower-burning exploration games where you can build stuff. My main issue with the game is price. It needs a price cut to at least $40 or less. I think that would be pretty reasonable and honestly I've spent far more on shittier games that I've enjoyed considerably less.
10$ would be a price i would consider. If you enjoy space exploration i would highly recommend checking out astroneer, that game is at least in active development right now.

You can give the game shit all you want but at least they're trying to make things right. I don't think they should've released the game when they did at all but they seem to have acknowledged their mistakes and it's good on them for continuing to develop the game instead of just taking the money and running like some people thought they did.. The game would've done better as a much cheaper early access title. I still enjoyed the game though and do boot it up occasionally when I need to chill out which, in it's current state, the game is already perfect for.
