Edward Snowden and Jean-Michel Lamarre join together for new song called "Exit"
The Guardian’s coverage of the Edward Snowden NSA leaks has had a wide variety of repercussions, but perhaps none are as improbable as the latest: a collaboration between the 32-year-old whistleblower and French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre, on a techno track to be released this weekend.

The collaboration, which features Snowden speaking, rather than singing, came about after Jarre gave an interview to the Guardian last year, to promote the release of the forthcoming album’s predecessor, Electronica I: The Time Machine. He asked if it would be possible for the paper to put him in touch with Snowden – whose revelations about surveillance carried out by the US National Security Agency were published in the Guardian – for whom he’d devised a “hectic, obsessive techno track, trying to illustrate the idea of this crazy quest for big data on one side and the manhunt for this one young guy by the CIA, NSA and FBI on the other”.
...
Snowden declined to speak to the Guardian about the track, but in the video Jarre shot in Moscow, he claimed to be a fan of electronic music – “The melodies I remember with the most fondness are from video games” – and said he was “really surprised” by contacted by the author of the 12m-selling album Oxygène and holder of the Guinness World Record for attracting the largest concert audience in history. “It was something I wasn’t expecting. As an engineer, someone who’s not really cool, it was something of a treat to collaborate on a big cultural project.”
Maybe he's trying to tell us something through his music. Play the song in reverse and start decoding.
Edit: Got mixed up with another guy named Lamarre in another article, would appreciate if mod fix the title...
Can Snowden please stop trying to be relevant. He's in the news for all kinds of different shit now.

I don't think it's Snowden's fault as much as the media. Snowden is literally just tweeting, and entire articles are being made about those tweets. You've gotta remember that Snowden is away from home and probably has friendly social connections based solely over the internet, so asking him to not make Tweets about his opinions is really harsh. Get mad at the media, not Snowden.

Ya, besides giving the occasional telepresence interview, and occasional article, he really doesnt do much, he's a media darling because he's the spy in exile
You can't deny he opened up a can of worms on stupid shit that the government does and continues to do. Imo it brought light to problems that people are now beginning to fight back against and that's ok in my books

The media is just giving him too much oxygéne
honestly I will admit I have spent many a nights raving about my appreciation for Jean Michel-Jarre. I am interested...
Normally I hate hearing about the same people in the news all the time but Snowden doesn't bother me. I suppose it's an appreciation for what he's done

A note on this point, I think its absolutely in his best interest to stay relevant, his situation is not going to change if no one remembers what he did and why he isn't in the country.
You can't really be too hard on him for it either, I mean at this point it's very possible that he could remain in asylum status for years, if not the rest of his life. When you're looking at that much time in hiding, some branching-out with new endeavors (even music) probably doesn't seem as ridiculous anymore. I mean, you've got to be a human somehow, and having to live thousands of miles away from anyone you know for potentially years will give you plenty of time to pass.
