Basically, I've been unable to load youtube videos for some time now. I tried ctrl+f5, deleting cookies, using three different browsers (chrome, firefox, ie). This is irritating, everything on the page loads instantly, comments, those little thumbnail things you get when you mouseover the progress bar, only the video doesn't work. Tried updating Flash too (didn't reinstall yet tho). Help?
Does other flash content work? Like video players in other websites such as Vimeo?
Yep, works just fine
Weird i have started to have same problems with some youtube videos today. Not all though, just some.
It's really irritating since i don't have a clue what is causing this. Maybe youtube itself is having problems?
Would it piss you off if I said youtube is running better now than it's done in a while?
I started getting errors on youtube today too, though i get a black screen and then nothing
A lot of people seem to be having problems right now (Mostly Europeans), it's probably a problem on Youtube's end.
OP you can try disabling your anti-virus and see if it helps (I had problems like that in the past), you might not want to do it right now though.
You might try manually clearing your cache, OP. I've noticed that at least on Firefox with Youtube, ctrl+F5 doesn't seem to completely reload the video player for some reason. It only does that if I manually clear my cache first.
I did all of the above. Youtube's fault, I guess, urgh
Uninstalling and reinstalling flash worked for me
All what I had to do was to delete youtube's cookies.
tools > options > privacy > show cookies > and remove youtube.
