Its 6500 SEK, ~ 900 $ After Christmas 2012 I'm planning to upgrade for about 1100 $. I may do some small upgrades before Christmas 2012. Will it work? Is the build decent? When will the hard drive prices go down? Will I be able to play BF3 at medium?
Don't get a 2120, just don't
Can't you take the DVD drive from your old computer?
I'm actually on a laptop now, so I dont think the DVD drive will fit. Whats wrong with the 2120?
It's a bit weak, I'd go with an i5
I know its a bit weak, but I'm on a budget. Is there any other i3 that I should get?
I know its a bit weak, but I'm on a budget. Is there any other i3 that I should get?
just do like me, get an i5 2500k with your current budget, play some source games with the integrated graphics for 2 or 3 months then when you have the money get a GPU [editline]23rd November 2011[/editline] you'll be happier in the long run
Hm, okay, I see. The thing is, I dont know how much money I'll have after Christmas, so I'm just basing this build with the smallest amount I'll probably get. If I get more, I will probably throw in more power. BUT, if this build is the only thing that fits in the budget, is i3 worth it?
the i3 2100 performs as well as an phenom 980 within games, but lacks two physical cores, and wont last long In the long run, you'd be better of with an i5 2500k, but if you just want something for casual gaming and casual usage, then the i3 is actually good enough, and great value too, but don't expect it to pull off games two or so years from now on.
Okay thanks. I'm going to upgrade in one year, but I suppose it wont be worth it to upgrade to an i5 in one year, right? [editline]23rd November 2011[/editline] Is a AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition much worse than an i3?
Not only does a quadcore cpu overclocked and sold for 165$ get outperformed by a 120$ dual core one at stock clocks, you also have no choice for future upgrading at all. The 955/960T is pretty much the end of the line on AM3, and their price/performance ratio is piss.
Ah, so I should pretty much go for an i3 if I want budget (for now) [editline]23rd November 2011[/editline] Oh by the way, will the power supply be enough?
if you cant afford it then get rid of that piece of shit case and get a cheaper one or are you ready to waste a bunch of money just because you want a ricer case? powersupply will be sufficient
Is the case bad? I've heard good reviews about the case and I think it looks nice and clean. I will probably have the case I buy for years and years, so I thought that I could get an nice case from the beginning. Otherwise, thanks :)
Its fine but don't sacrifice performance just for a case.
the psu is crap, the case is crap if you want that case get a fractal define R3, should be a similar price, looks similar and it's not shit as for the PSU I don't know that site so I can't see what's in a similar price range
Yeah, I like the looks of R3 + its cheaper. Gonna go for that one instead. Is Fractal Design Tesla 550W PSU good? On the site its cheaper and have some more power + good reviews.
what reviews because I can't find anything even remotely indepth, anything I am finding is saying its not great if they're just customer reviews then they're no use because I doubt a regular customer has the expensive equipment to properly test a PSU, and just because it runs in their system for 5 minutes they'll claim its a perfect product link the site here and I'll try to find something
This PSU should be good
assuming that's the same site, the PSU selection is crap but there's this http://www.komplett.se/k/ki.aspx?sku=623444 not much more than the silver power but much much better

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate you even look into a site with a foreign language! I like the Corsair TX V2 650W PSU since I would be able to upgrade
Bump. Will a 460W PSU be enough? I found a case with a low price + a powersupply with 460W.
