http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/195624/
Although video streaming service Twitch has already secured some rather big deals in the past year, including broadcasting on Origin and Xbox 360, the company's latest deal may be its biggest. Twitch users can now link their Twitch account to their Steam account. In particular, this is big news for Dota 2 fans, who can now watch tournament matches via Twitch, and receive items drops through Steam at the same time.
Oooh!
Finally I can broadcast my sex posing skills
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Funny how this happening has been heavily debated on FP recently.

-Mental snip note, don't try to make a joke-
Time to stream me sucking absolute cock at videogames while having half the screen as a face cam of me stuffing my face with Doritos and Mountain Dew!
Haha yeah lol, [other unrelated things here].
this is one more step until steam having a built in streamer
I wonder if when they get around to just having a steamer integrated into steam it'll be as garbage as the one in Origin and Planetside.

I love the coincidence between this and Gabe becoming GM in VGCW.
Twitchs servers were ridiculously overloaded during Dreamhack, I heard they have big expansion plans after the Xbox One deal.. and now Steam... I hope their plans are big enough.
as long on this plan they have in big bold letters
I'm not even sure what you were trying to attempt here.
Is this update live?
I wonder if they'll make it to where you can stream your games using Steam.
I wonder if they'll make it to where you can stream your games using Steam.
That's what I'm hoping for. I think it would be excellent if it was a service built into the steam ingame overlay that you could activate with a hotkey or something.

That's pretty cool actually.
Are they going to optimize it yet.
Are they going to optimize it yet.
never had a problem with twitch
I love the coincidence between this and Gabe becoming GM in VGCW.
I wonder if we can make the real Gabe aware of his position in the VGCW
never had a problem with twitch
hahahahha this man top comedian
never had a problem with twitch
i think he meant steam
never had a problem with twitch
You appear to be in the US. In Europe, Twitch can become basically unusable if there's a really big event on or something.
am I the only one who finds that watching other people play a video game is pretty boring and lame, and that making money off of playing a video game all day is even lamer?
There is going to be an explosion in amateur streamers...
i think he meant steam
I've never had an issue I can really complain about with steam, since I started to use it, but twitch, I've RARELY heard about it, and, have only heard sarcasm about it.
am I the only one who finds that watching other people play a video game is pretty boring and lame, and that making money off of playing a video game all day is even lamer?
you could watch them play or you know play it yourself pretty sure picking the first makes you an odd man
I dont think this will change much in regards to more streamers, and anyway more streamers wont have a negative impact on anything because no one will watch them. If steam integrate streaming into their client then I expect that to bring a lot of new streamers, however currently it is just linked to watching stuff to get rewards.
