• Is it allowed to ask for votes on FP?

Hey, I'm hoping that it's ok to ask about this here - I was wondering whether it's allowed to make a thread asking for votes in a contest here on FacePunch. I didn't see anything against it in the rules but at the same time it seems like the kind of thread that wouldn't be tolerated here. Or maybe it's allowed in Fast Threads, I don't know. But yeah, wanted to ask before posting, hope it's alright. Thanks
it has been done a couple times before in GD but some people frown upon it. it's generally not a great idea, but it kind of depends on what it is about. you safest bet is FT
It normally only works if people know who you are. Random people/newbies asking for stuff like that are normally shoved out the door.
I don't know you, I only vote for something I stand behind.
Yeah, alright, figures. I'd kind of feel the same way, but hey, still wanted to make sure. Cheers.
Above poster gets gaybows.
There was one person that did that for their school's sports team or something. The results in the poll were like, 2k votes for his team and ~25 votes for every other team.

Lol, now that sounds motivating... Though it'll look like I'm cheating. But the thing is I feel like another competitor is doing the same because they got something into every category of the contest (and some isn't the best stuff either). You know what, I'll just drop the link here, if anyone wants to vote - My work is the "Through Their Eyes" video in the Best User Created movie category. Voting poll is here and you can watch the video itself here, so you know what you'd actually be voting for. Cheers, and thanks to anyone who would do it.
i dont believe there is a rule that says 'dont ask an internet forum to help you'
