I need everything except a monitor, and I will be using this for games. I have a few specifics though. Case: -Full or mid -Toolless Graphics: -GTX480 or HD5870 would be preferred OS: -Windows 7 64-Bit HP HDD: -1TB or more ODD: -Has lightscribe Mobo: -At least 6 SATA3 ports -USB3 -Supports SLI/CFX PSU: -Does not need enough wattage for SLI/CFX, because I can get a new PSU later on, but if you can fit it in the budget it's ok The rest is up to you. Also, please use tigerdirect so I don't have to pay a shitload of tax on newegg.
What are you going to be using the computer for? Also, any specific considerations for the case?

HDD: 3x Seagate F3 500gb wired in raid 0 ~200$ RAM: 8gb DDR3 ~250$ CPU: AMD AM3 x6 1090T ~ 300$ GPU: HD5870 ~ 400$ Motherboard: AMD mobo that supports RAID and DDR3 and AM3 and is good : ~150$ PSU: 100$ This costs 1400$, but in reality it's less, I exagarated those prices a bit because I don't know how much it costs, I converted € to $ directly.
Could just go with 2 or 3 Spinpoint f3 1TB and use 1 as a backup to the other. You don't need 8GB of RAM, you could spend that extra money on crossfiring two cards or SLI. You can SLI 2 460's for 400 dollars.
You could try something like this: [img_thumb]http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/6838/slithersoul.jpg[/img_thumb] I left out the case because neither of the ones you suggested are on TigerDirect.

The 5870 is so much money. 400 dollars for one video card when you can get 2 460's in SLI for the same price. Can someone please post a comparison of 5870 vs 460 and 5870 vs 2x460 SLI.

The only good GTX 480 is the Zotac AMP! but I heard it takes an another slot.
