After days of speculation, reports now reveal that the Pirate Party is taking over responsibility for security and operation of the site Wikileaks computer servers. That way you would protect Wikileaks from any future police raids or seizures.
The agreement was signed at a dinner on Sunday and for the foreseeable future.
"Our engineers are working on it now. I have no exact timetable for when all the lies and rolls from our server room, but it will be within a few days, "says Anna Troberg deputy leader of the Pirate Party.
Higher policy rates
-If your servers are on a normal web hosting, it is of course already a high threshold for making a raid and pick them from there. But it is a much higher political price to go in and start to move a political party servers. So we can offer them some extra protection and there are those in great need, "says Anna Troberg.
- We know that the United States exposed to Swedish policy-makers to pressure advance so that you made raids against the server rooms. It may well happen again, "she says.
Not clear if the servers
Nobody wants to say today exactly where Wikileaks servers should be but it will be somewhere in the Stockholm area.
In this way, Wikileaks is not only more connected to Sweden, but also to the file sharing site Pirate Bay, which also serves to some extent taken over by the Pirate Party.
Credibility?
In particular, the U.S. Pirate Bay is considered to be illegal. The question is how the link will affect the credibility of Wikileaks.
Wikileaks has been greatly WINDY WEATHER then be published in the July 91 000 secret documents about the war in Afghanistan.
In the near future it plans to release a large amount of additional documents.
Wikileaks existing computer servers are also in Sweden.
According to Swedish authorities Pirate Party has been exposed to a lot of pressure by U.S. authorities to act in any way against Wikileaks.
By taking over the operation of new computer servers Wikileaks seeks to complicate their seizure.
Aide worldwide
According to Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, credibility is not affected at all.
"We have many associates around the world. As I understood the Pirate Party in Sweden is a diverse group who want to defend the free flow of information.
Hope to be Swedish
Julian Assange is some time in Sweden. He has applied for Swedish utgivarbevis to in that way to improve privacy protection for its agents.
He does not think there is a problem if Wikileaks is becoming more and more Swedish.
"I hope so! Here there is an understanding and interest in privacy issues, "said Assange.
Anna Troberg think that there is a problem that PP as a political party involved in this sort of activity.
"It is something that concerns the whole world, and that includes of course Sweden," she says.

I like the Swedish Pirate Party. They have politics that are NOT what we call "Gray Socialist".

I am going to vote for Pirat Partiet. Or maybe not, seems like they are a bit too narrow.
Im voting Swedishdemocrats. ;)
I'm not sure about the Pirate Party's opinions on other things to be honest.

I'm watching that aswell. Basically that's what they want. To be honest the whole foreigners situation has gone too far. But the Swedish democrats are crazy fucks, no one should vote for them even though I agree with them on some points.
GG pirate party

:golfclap:
This is fantastic. The truth should never be censored.

They've stated that in the event of such an outcome they will create a coalition with one of the major parties and rely on their politics for filling out gaps in their political goal map. Coalition with other parties is probably what they will try to aim for regardless of the outcome of the election.
Go Sweden! Go Sweden! It's your birthday, it's your birthday, woooooo!

They're basically a completely xenophobic party, though they try their best to hide it and appear "clean". Thank god Swedish media is extremely nosy.

Here is the official press release by the way, the OP is a badly translated news article. May want to add this to the OP?
The Pirate Party will host several new WikiLeaks servers. This was agreed during Julian Assange’s visit to Stockholm last weekend, and the Pirate Party is happy to announce that everything has been finalized.
– The contribution of WikiLeaks is tremendously important to the entire world, says Rick Falkvinge, leader of the Pirate Party. We desire to contribute to any effort that increases transparency and accountability of power in the world.
Last week, the Pirate Party challenged the other Swedish parties to assist WikiLeaks in its democratic effort. The Pirate Party has been the first to step up uo the plate, and keeps calling on others to defend freedom of the press in Sweden. As a result, WikiLeaks have commissioned a number of new servers that will be hosted and taken care of by the Pirate Party.
The Pirate Party will provide bandwidth and hosting to WikiLeaks free of charge as part of its political mission.
– This is one of our signatures, says Falkvinge. We don’t just talk. We act. Using our own resources and time, we help change the world rather than pass the buck, commission reports, and avoid responsibility like other politicians.
Wikileaks have been under constant threat of being sabotaged by corrupt or abusive organisations trying to conceal the truth from the public. The Pirate Party’s offer was welcomed by Wikileaks’ spokesman Julian Assange.
– We welcome the help provided by the Pirate Party, says Julian Assange, spokesperson for WikiLeaks. Our organisations share many values and I am looking forward to future ways we can help each other improve the world.
– We hope that the new Parliament will give serious consideration to further strengthening Sweden’s press protection legislation, says Assange. Western democracies are not always as free as one might think, and freedom of the press needs constant vigilance. In particular, we would welcome Sweden copying Iceland’s Modern Media Initiative, something that the Pirate Party also desires.
– We see more opportunities down the road in cooperating with the Pirate Party, says Assange, and look forward to exploring those options.
Believe it or not, the majority of the world likes what Wikileaks stands for. It's the American right that doesn't.

I bet most of the world doesn't even know what wikileaks is
I bet most of the world doesn't even know what wikileaks is
In China they don't. :v:
Im voting Swedishdemocrats. ;)
And I'm not suprised you would.
I bet most of the world doesn't even know what wikileaks is
Most likely the older population only heard about wikileaks via recent news stories. So I'm betting this is most likely the case, as they may or may not have looked into what wikileaks is really about.
