Still haunted by the memories of his traumatic past, Max begins a new life working private security protecting a wealthy industrialist and his family in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When gangs target the family under his protection, Max is forced to fight to save his clients and clear his name, in a bid to, once and for all, rid himself of the demons that have tortured him for far too long. A true cross-studio collaboration between Rockstar Games’ global development teams that picks up from where series creator Remedy Entertainment's Max Payne 2 left off, Max Payne 3 utilizes cutting edge technology for a seamless, cinematic action experience, incorporating the latest advances in Natural Motion physics as well as a brand new iteration of the Rockstar Advanced Game Engine, resulting in highly-refined gameplay with an extensive range of realistic weaponry, an intelligent cover system and sophisticated Bullet-Time mechanics. In addition to an expansive single-player campaign, Max Payne 3 will also be the first entry in the series to introduce a thorough and engrossing multiplayer experience. In a unique twist, Max Payne 3 multiplayer delivers a compelling experience that dynamically alters maps and mode progression for all players in a match. Along with traditional multiplayer modes, Max Payne 3 will also include a deep reward and leveling system, persistent clans and multiple strategic load-out options. Stay tuned for much more news very soon and check out a pair of brand new screenshots from Max Payne 3 below.
Source
Bald Payne. Max Hobo.
I still don't know what to think about this really, but I hope it's gonna be good.
I came
where the fuck is my RDR port
Lol, max payne..... added with the multiplayer, typical devs now days "new game needs online"
With how well rockstars games have been I expect this game to be an amazing comeback from the series
Images look slick.
The feeling was warm, like the touch of my wife on summer long gone... THERE BETTER BE MONOLOGUE I am exite
Whoa, awesome Edit I'm hoping for some mad violent bullet impacts on surfaces and on the enemys
That better not be the cover... Plus there is something about that big orange "3" that pokes me the wrong way.. Other then that, I'm looking REALLY forward to this game O_O
Also it's gonna introduce a cover system.. I wonder what kinda cover system, hope it's kinda like "Jump To Cover" in bullet time. But the normal bullet time jumping to any direction you choose has to be there in a major role because it's awesome!
This better not end up as yet another 3rd person shooter.
Looks and sounds utterly generic so far.
What happened to the Noire and Depressive feeling of Max Payne 1 and 2? I don't see what makes this so good if they put the player in some Brazilian resort instead.
Looks and sounds utterly generic so far.

the new dark, gritty action experience
so new, the gaming industry has never had a game like this
Looks and sounds utterly generic so far.
Maybe that's where the money leads in this industry..
Hey I like how everyone loved GTA4 multiplayer and were all excited when there were rumors about it and now people are bitching good job A+
Without the multiplayer Max Payne 3 would have been released by now, but I don't mind..
Hey I like how everyone loved GTA4 multiplayer and were all excited when there were rumors about it and now people are bitching good job A+
GTA IV is a sandbox you fool, they are totally different.
Hey I like how everyone loved GTA4 multiplayer and were all excited when there were rumors about it and now people are bitching good job A+
GTA4: Free-roam sandbox with a fun as shit physics engine, and engine glitches, lots of cars and bikes and copters Max Payne: Noir action game in somewhat linear levels, story driven. There is no comparison.
Oh really because the gun fights were a cover based tps, with gamemodes that were made for a cover based tps. Now a game is a cover based tps made by a developer that only has good games but clearly you know what's best for the game.
GTA 5 must be announced any week from now then, They wouldn't make it any longer! Would they?
they say May i say July
urgh. i don't have high hopes for this. even if it's a semi-decent tps i don't think there's any way they could create something as incredible as max payne 2
I had a dream of my wife. She was dead. But it was all right.

Also, i bet if this game was made by anyone other than rockstar you wouldnt even be mentioning GTA. Actually no, the entire reason you mentioned it is cause its being developed by rockstar, nevermind.
Yeah it is because every time they've tried multiplayer with a game it's been great.
Yeah it is because every time they've tried multiplayer with a game it's been great.
Except for the fact that these are differant developers working on them. You do know rockstar isnt one thing right? its got differant places?
Maybe that's where the money leads in this industry..
Actually I think the money leads the industry in the casual direction. Which, depending on how you see it, is a good or a bad thing. Games have become accepted by a larger variety of demographics and that includes a lot of kids and a lot of people that enjoy a quick fun round inbetween meetings or when stuck in a traffic jam. That perfectly fits casual games and the cheap lightweights produced for mobile devices like iPhones and DS-like handhelds. As casual games are cheaper to produce and the expectations aren't as high as for AAA titles, it's a very attractive start for Indie developers and non-mainstream concepts that always carry a big risk. Maybe something's wrong with my radar, but most interesting and innovative stuff has happened in the small Indie or casual environments: Amnesia, Bastion, Portal, Limbo, Minecraft, etc. Meanwhile the big AAA titles cram in Modern FPS mechanics wherever possible and stagnate. Meanwhile casual games grow more diverse and their audience grows up with different standards and expectations. I don't think they'll readily pay that much for Modern Halo Battlefield 47. And if this trend holds as much true as the rising casual demographic, it could potentially hurt the industry as a whole. At least I don't just want to play light and fun games, I like heavy food for thought a lot. Philosophical depths, strategy, intriguing characters and plots, all that good stuff. That deep complex stuff isn't cheap, so we still need an AAA industry. We just don't need the current industry that just keeps milking cash cow franchises, be it Mario 1276, Call of Duty: Yet Again 4 or Assassin's Creed: Let's Stretch The Plot Some More Because People Like Ezio 3. TL;DR Smaller games, due to smaller risk, offer more innovation than big titles nowadays, which in turn hurts the AAA industry and may lead to its self-destruction.
