I don't really see the point of being able to look 360* in a movie. I mean, the whole point of a movie is to let it direct the story towards you in the way that the director believes is the best method possible. The user really shouldn't have to actively look around spastically looking for what the movie is trying to show you...

You'd have to design your entire piece around the oculus' behaviour, so basically it'd be an entirely different artform. It may or may not work, I can't tell you at this stage but I wouldn't call it a movie.
This will never be a replacement for movies because of exactly what Karmah said, but it's definitely something new
I'd be interested in a movie filmed from a first-person perspective, with the Oculus in mind. You'd feel like you were part of the movie on a whole different level.

Just imagine being able to see through the eyes of a protagonist in a zombie movie, the jump scares in the dark. :o FUCK THAT.

Granted, you'd have to film it in a way where you'd never notice it was a movie to begin with. You can't have camera tracks running everywhere and being able to see stage lighting or something. It would take a new level of creative filmmaking to get it to work, unless you made it completely digital like Final Fantasy or something. Having a fixed image and being able to move your head will make you sick, I know this from experience. But if you can have full range of viewing or fixated at a 180 degree view (full 360 would be very impressive) it would work alright.
horror movies with the rift would be intense
