So I've been tumbling around with this idear for some time now, and I'm ready to make the thread now that I got the idears planned. I play Fallout 3 and as many others; I'm eagerly awaiting New Vegas. Therefore I decided that I would make a themed mod for this game, and here I am. I got alot of idears, and help and/or suggestions will be highly appreciated. This is some pictures of my plans and the dimensions of the suitcase that will be modded: Specs: CPU: AMD Athlon II x2 250, I may upgrade this to a x3/x4. RAM: 4GB Corsair XMS3 2x2GB Dual-channel DDR3 RAM. Mobo: ASRock N68C-S UCC AM3 Micro-ATX PSU: OCZ ModXStream 600W Modular Power Supply GPU: Reused 512MB 4830 OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit HDD: Samsung Spinpoint f3 500GB Screen: Old reused Acer LCD. Specs isn't the point with this build, and the budget is low anyway. I need one good and, preferably, dead silent 80MM case fan, and a 120MM one. I need some USB extensions, too, but I'll find such myself. Suggestions are, as mentioned earlier, highly appreciated. My overall budget is about 700$ if I stretch a little. Haters is ganna hate: Green led's will be placed in the case, as it is a fallout-themed build. Important: I live in Denmark, so hardware is a bit different here (Read; ahelluahlotmoreexpensive). This build will probably be done late september or october.
Haha, this will be pretty good
Pretty decent specs still, this will be good
And with the grip on the suitcase, I can take it whereever I want to, pretty easily. Just found out that the Acer screen won't fit, it's too high, even though it's pretty low.. I have to buy a lower screen..
Doesn't seem to comfortable to have the screen there :v:
There will be like a little "door" to the screen, that can, of course, be opened. Anyway who knows about some good silent fans?
Not cool
Fair enough.
You're danish right? http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?sp=all&pid=630011
Thanks a bunch!
Those specs are pretty good, actually.
Yeah, for the price, yes (as in "I live in Denmark"). I'll remove those two pieces of wood tomorrow, but don't expect a massive update. The GPU will be ordered in about 2 weeks, as it is currently in my main gaymen machine. I'll probably make an update about the card change in my main machine, and have pictures of it (and my shitty cable management). The card I'm ordering is a GTX 460.
What you mean is, that a 4830 is in your main machine, and you're putting a 460 in there?
Although this is a very creative idea, but to be honest, I have a feeling that this may not come out that pretty.
What you mean is, that a 4830 is in your main machine, and you're putting a 460 in there?
Yup. And I may or may not find a screen that will fit this, so it may come out easier than I originally thought. And B1N4RY! I am aware of the risk of utter failure, but well, no pain no gain. [editline]05:18PM[/editline] I'm pretty certain that someone missed this: The screen will be pointed outwards with a little hatch to access it, the pther parts will NOT be exposed.
That would be awesome for LAN gaming.
Yup.
