Periphery Animals as Leaders The Faceless The Human Abstract Tesseract In my personal opinion, technical heavy virtuoso guitar bands are the next big step in music, it brings so much to the table. It's been around too long when vocalist are the front men or the emphasis, of any genre, and too little solo artists or instrumentalist. I think it's time to switch to more instrumental stuff, let the talents of the band members shine.
Black, Tech Death, Brutal Death/Goregrind, Industrial, Goth, and Folk/Viking. Xasthur, Burzum, Cephalotripsy, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Ensiferum, and Fractured Fairytales.
this band is pretty good too... short ass video though. not the best song either. But their album is great.
Thrash: Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer Heavy/Traditional: Black Sabbath, Motorhead NWOBHM: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden
Heavy Iron Maiden, Dio, Manowar. Power Hammerfall, Running Wild, Sabaton, Rhapsody, Edguy, etc. And most instrumental metal.
Melodeath Insomnium, Wintersun, Scar Symmetry, Kalmah, In Flames, Opeth Death Gojira Sludge/Post ISIS Dark/Atmospheric/Folk Agalloch
I like Black, Folk, Thrash and Death metal the best. Black: Windir - Taake - Immortal - Iskald Folk/Viking: Ensiferum - Equilibrium - Lumsk Thrash: Exodus - (the old) Metallica - Imbalance Death: Behemoth - Arch Enemy A lot of Norwegian bands. I like to listen to music from my own country.
Melodic Death, Death, Industrial and Folk are my favourites. Melodeath: Insomnium, Before the Dawn, Be'lakor, Scar Symmetry, Wintersun, Kalmah Death: Vader, Septic Flesh, Crematory Industrial: Sybreed, Draconic, Gothminister, Ministry, Fractal Gates, The Interbeing, Synthetic Breed Folk: Eluveitie, Elvenking, Ensiferum
