I like that stuff too, Bloodbath and Suffocation have awesome music, but I prefer the mellower metal music.

In my personal opinion, technical heavy virtuoso guitar bands are the next big step in music, it brings so much to the table. It's been around too long when vocalist are the front men or the emphasis, of any genre, and too little solo artists or instrumentalist. I think it's time to switch to more instrumental stuff, let the talents of the band members shine.
Black, Tech Death, Brutal Death/Goregrind, Industrial, Goth, and Folk/Viking.
Xasthur, Burzum, Cephalotripsy, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, Ensiferum, and Fractured Fairytales.
