So I turned on my 360 to play some Guitar Hero and everything was fine. The game started, and all of a sudden there was multiples of everything, but in a red color, like those 3-D movies. I grabbed some 3-D glasses, and I was right; my 360 is now a 3-D60!
The only problem is, staring at it for more than 5 seconds makes my eyes want to explode, and putting 3-D glasses on to play is even worse.
Any idea how I can fix this? I tried going to all the different settings and preferences but I can't find anything that will change it back :frown:
I took a picture. It's the best I could do to show:

dude epic, I wish that would happen to mine
You sure it's not the T.V.? It sure seems like the case.
I take it your using Component cables to connect to your TV? try using something else, it looks like it might have broken

Yes, that is a TV problem.
Sorry to break it to you, but your TV is getting ready to stop working.

Fuck. You're right. I just tried to watch regular TV and everything has the same problem. Are you sure there's no way to fix it?

Get a new TV.
I'm guessing you have a projection TV since that's what happens to them when they start to die. Might as well get new TV.
That happened to my old TV. I don't remember what we did, but there was a setting where we arranged the blue and red to sort of be normal. We couldn't fix it completely and it was always a blue, but eventually the TV died and we bought a new one.
I had a Studio grade Sony "Monitor" that did this (I got it dirt because of it), Luckily being handy at electronics and coming from a family of TV engineers it was an easy fix.
Take it to a TV shop, It's a relativity easy fix if it IS a hardware and not a settings issue.
That's assuming It's a CRT, LCD/Plasma TVs are almost impossible to fix at a component level - Hence why TV shops are disappearing :(

Actually, it's a flat screen. I don't know exactly but it's a Hitachi Ultravision Digital.

My xbox made the screen turn into a disco when playing GTA IV. It has only done it once.
It's a projection screen, you can either take it in to get the projector recalibrated or you can get a new tv.
awesome
I just looked at the picture with my 3d glasses on and it doesn't look very 3d at all. Take some pictures in game. :D
Wow, even for someone like me, I don't even know how this happened

Nobody wants you around, all you do is shit post.
Shit! Not your television son. This same thing happened to my old 360. After a while, the picture wouldn't come up at all. Test your Xbox on another television, and see if it still does that. The day my 360 died from this was the day I hated Microsoft. I went and bought a new cable, no luck. Tried it on like 5 different Televisions, still no luck.
If it does break from this, I guess it's not covered under your warranty, and they make you pay a fucking $100 to replace it. While a new console is $200, where's the justice in that? My Xbox broke for no reason and your gonna make me pay for your mistake, GREAT tactic.
My Dad thinks you're stuck in some sort of HD mode.

Try a new set of component cables.
Razzie was right. It died today. Completely stopped working with smoke coming out of the back.
We got a new TV. Thanks for the help.

I'm pretty sure manuals for projection televisions say not to use game consoles on them anyway. They burn-in like a sonofabitch.
That exact problem happened to our projection TV, we took it to a local electronics shop and they fixed it for $200, they said the problem was these two STK TV convergence ICs blew out.
I looked them up and they sell for about 40-50 dollars.
Get some 3d glasses and it'll be all good
i wunt to pleh mah xbox in 3D!! that would be awesome!! :D
