• Upgrading a graphics card for a laptop.

I need to know if there is a way to upgrade the graphics in my inspiron1564 laptop. I am currently using a ATI Mobility Radeon 5400m graphics if it is any help.
Switching out graphics cards in laptops are not something most people can do. It's very difficult.
Any idea on how to increase graphics performance?
Getting a new laptop or desktop would be a better option than "upgrading" your graphics performance on your laptop... It's either impossible or too costly
Uhm yeah it'd be difficult to swap out the graphics card. It's always worth stopping some start up software and closing background programs while gaming, especially those that are taking CPU and GPU power. To increase performance you could also put your computer onto Windows Classic or Basic themes, which require marginally less VRAM and clock cycles to run. Other than that you could try updating your drivers. To update your drivers click Here for 32-bit drivers (for Windows 7) or Here for 64-bit drivers (again, for Windows 7). Other than that, you're pretty out of luck. Try reducing graphics settings (anti-aliasing in particular) and resolution.
:suicide: Figured out my graphics card was set to ultra quality. Set to medium and updated drivers, works like a charm.
