Alright, you have to do this right now, dont let them think they're get away with it. You need to bang on everydoor in the neighborhood with a look on your face that lets them know you mean business. They're only having a bit of DDos fun now but before you know it your find things missing from your home and windows left open.
Trust me I'm a doctor.

DoS'ing is illegal anyway. So do that ^, or just trace the IP back to the house.
Relax, he's a doctor.

I know right?
I am not going to DoS him back if it is a DoS, that would really only make the situation worse.
He's stopped now anyway, I was just wondering what the hell is going on and/or what the hell he might of been trying to achieve.
Also IP traces don't USUALLY work in the UK :(, Normally it just traces back to the HQ of their ISP.

DoS'ing him back would be a viable solution, to show you know what you're doing.
If a neighbour comes around complaining, smack him with a shovel.
DoS'ing him back would be a viable solution
Wouldn't retaliation make me just as bad as the culprit though?
Just call your, or better his, ISP and report a abuse.
Alright, I filed a Security complaint to his ISP.
Thanks for the help. :)
Wouldn't retaliation make me just as bad as the culprit though?
No, because you're DOSing him back for a reason. He was the one that started this, not you.
Okay, well I reported him anyway.
I'll try DOS him back later.
Fucking spoiler tags, No I won't DOS him back later. :v:

This happened a second ago, clearly this guy is trying to fuck with me, he made my connection go down after he DOS'd me 5 times?
Also, apparently 195.90.98.39 is:

27019 is the port steam games, specifically Counter Strike: Source, play on.
Wtf?
Well everything seems to have stopped...
But my router keeps losing contact to the exchange for some reason.
Get his MAC address and block it in the security settings.
Get his MAC address and block it in the security settings.
Sadly there are no settings in my router that allow me to block anything apart from sites. :(
That may be a false positive.
And this IP seems to belong to this company:
http://www.openhosting.co.uk/
So that's probably a gameserver.
What router is it?
What router is it?
Netgear DG934G
It's the one I got from my ISP, it truly sucks and there isn't another one lying around. :(
Also, they said it's compulsory that I use it and that i am not allowed to use another...

Thats bullshit. They just want more money from you for you renting the damn thing.

I asked them and they said it's against thier ToS if I use another. :(
I'd rather not risk it.

Tell them to state it and tell you where you can find it exactly in their ToS.

Do it anyway, it's not like they can actually see what router you're using.
[sp]or can they?[/sp]

They cant. The only thing they see hardware wise is the modem which has to be provisioned.

Well how come it hasn't happened before?
If you are right, then I feel like such an idiot for posting this. :v:
The Netgear DG934G is an ADSL Router, As such the Modem is part of the router itself.
In this case (I'm guessing you're with sky?**) /they/ will be able to tell if you swapped the router for another one (because in effect you are using another modem) - Chances are they won't care though.
**If you are (The DG934G *was* a Sky model), good luck getting another "router" to work, they hide the username and password to get on their network... Do a bit of googling though as the tools to extract it are available.
His provider is virginmedia..
