“What happens when the world’s largest advertising business tries to sell productivity software on the side?” Microsoft asks users in its new Googlighting video. “Beware the Googlighting Stranger.” In response to what is undoubtedly increased pressure from Google’s cloud-based productivity suite, Microsoft has launched an all-out assault on Google and its cloud-based Google Apps product. According to Microsoft, Google’s productivity suite is a joke — a sad side project where Google moonlights in its downtime and uses unwitting corporations as guinea pigs — and businesses would be crazy to play Google’s game. ”Google Apps is an ever-changing solution with experimental features that can increase complexity and the need for change management and training,” Microsoft wrote on its Why Microsoft site. “When your business needs help, Google Apps support falls short of delivering the kind and level of support you demand.” So what exactly does your business need to thrive? Microsoft is glad you asked: “Your organization has diverse needs. With Microsoft, you can deliver the right set of tools for the right users—all with appropriate layers of security and compliance technologies.” Microsoft’s no holds barred anti-Google Apps video follows below.

Anti-Google campaign on a Google site
Oh lord here we go. That video was just awful and annoying.
Wow this is fucking stupid.
video summary:
we made office bitch, we already won
That was hilarious though.
It seems like Microsoft's ad department finally made it to 90's fast food restaurant training video quality.
it makes a good point. cloud vs local based document management. it highlights the disadvantages, such as working while on the road(where internet may not be extant).
That was pretty funny actually.
now here's the old microsoft we all knew and loved

Except that Google is already introducing offline support for Google Docs, if I'm not late and it hasn't already been introduced
lets make fun of google by making videos and putting it on google owned youtube
Microsoft is shit at trying to be funny.
Microsoft is shit at trying to be funny.
I'm still trying to see how their video could even be logically correct to anyone unless the person watching it is completely tech illiterate
Waste of money.
Google docs is free
So... Yeah, I'm using it.
flagged and reported video for bullying.
The only solid argument that they really have is how you need to have internet access to use Google Docs, or anything of the sort.
Google makes an offline version of it, problem solved.

Oh, well I didn't know that...
Welp, problem solved. :v:
hi MS, it's called google docs offline and it works fine
Google docs is free
So... Yeah, I'm using it.
Oh no you fucking don't. Microsoft Office has Pivot Tables! PIVOT TABLES GODDAMN IT.
Look at this EXTREMENESS:

In all honesty, Pivot Tables are pure shit. They try to make linking data easier, but in reality they are just for lazy people. Perfect for Microsoft.
Team Google
God damn I want that black man singing to me everywhere I go.
So the human representation of microsoft is a fat black singer
brb buying a phone with windows mobile and preordering win8
that video
was actually good
and made good points
where Google moonlights in its downtime and uses unwitting corporations as guinea pigs
This is actually true. And Google's products need allot more polish, and less idealistic dogma that never quite materializes.
Ha, all the questions she asks can be answered

Yes, Google Docs has a good spell-check, and so does any good browser.
Google Docs has Pivot Charts
There's an offline mode of Google docs.
Changing software while people are using it isn't a real problem, it's never caused any problems since I started using it when it came out .
Seriously, you're being massive idiots here Microsoft.
It's weird that they never said that google is free and that office costs $300.
except that business solution (which integrates docs with mail and calendar) cost a shitload of money. monthly.
The angle they are using sounds sooooo logical...but really, when was the last time Google changed a product on us in a way that heavily changed the way we used it? I don't think Google does what they do badly. They definitely listen to people and try to make shit better when possible.
Except that Google is already introducing offline support for Google Docs, if I'm not late and it hasn't already been introduced
It's read only, completely useless.
And Google sucks at consistency, they try to do everything, support it while it's hyped, and then abandon it for very long periods of time. And long standing criticism are almost never addressed.
Google also has been having ALLOT of internal conflict in the past few years, their last CEO stepped down out of frustration with the cofounders, who many describe as children and irresponsible. Their former CEO warned them that Chromebooks and Google+ would be failures, and they ended up worse than expected (as in adoption/sales/people caring).
Doesn't google apps have a core suite of stuff that is always there and is guarateed to always work? Shit like Gmail, Talk, Calendar, Docs..
Also, I don't even install an office suite on my computer, I just use Docs for all my stuff.
