yeah except smite actually brings money for hi-rez so i don't see the point of them dropping the support for it?
All I want is Global Agenda 2.
TRIBES VS TONY HAWKS PRO SKATER 2 CONFIRMED
I wouldnt want another tribes from hi-rez anyway.

The maddening part about Tribes Ascend is that it was really damn good before they fucked it up. It's like they're totally capable of making an excellent Tribes game, but would rather run it into the ground than follow through.

We already had one of those directed by Ken Levine. It was called Tribes: Vengeance, and it wasn't too bad from what I remember, though the singleplayer story had an unfinished ending that didn't even get the chance to be fixed, since Vivendi Universal dropped all support for the game and didn't even put out Patch 1.1 which presumably would have had the proper ending to the campaign.

But I thought it was a really good game :v:
at first yeah
later the weapons they added were so imbal that it was rediculously bad
Ah, I had forgotten about that. Tribes Ascend always felt a bit too grindy to me.
No thanks, not after what happened with Tribes: Ascend.
Why do I have to say this every single thread, tribes ascend cost them 30 million in two years, no company would have kept that running.
Reminder to the salt mines in this thread.

posts like this get funnier every single time because you don't understand why GA and Tribes failed.
They didn't do the new Tribes Ascend right. Nowhere near the modding capability and tight-knit community it had back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I remember staying up late to watch my dad kick ass and play with his clan on their server. I would sneak on after he fell asleep and play on random ass servers, flying giant suicide tanks into enemy ships. It feels like shooting baddies on ice skates from a mile away at light-speed the way computers work nowadays.

Considering the years of backlash from the game failing due to unprofitibality, I'm going to say it did have a pretty tight-knit cult community, even if it was smaller than the original.

How was Global Agenda? I never got to play it when it was around because for some reason it would just freeze when loading into the first area (when you created a character), after a while with support they said that they had no idea what it was and couldn't help me.

It's an ok game, an mmorpg with a 3rd person shooter combat system. And it's not gone, its severs are still online. It's just that there is like 20+ players online at peak times.
