I think this game had a shorter life than the original APB under RTW. That's sorta sad.
Did not know it was even out. Saying that just tried downloading it and its not available in region so beginning to see why it failed.
Maybe because it was available only for US?
I downloaded their launcher and when I tried running the game, the message stated that the game isn't available in my region.
After some forum digging, it seems that most Europeans weren't able to play, so...
You be the judge!
I didn't even realize it came out.
It was fun and even though I wish it could survive, I won't be heartbroken.
how do you even fuck up so bad
i played it for a total of 1 hour and it was amazingly bad.
Well, considering that you had to jump through hoops to even play the thing, because the creators went out of their way to make the game as exclusive as possible, no shit it failed.

I remember when I was one of the testers chosen for the closed beta and they only made it available to play for 3 days.
This is so sad, specially considering how long it's been on development and how shortly it has been live
Then maybe they should have spent more time on making a good game.
I played it for a few hours, and while i had some fun, it was mostly had by making fun of the game itself.
The concepts were all there, but the game as they had it was essentially just a working concept or a shell of what it should be. It was too broken, too incomplete, too ridden with holes. There wasn't any sort of real harmony going on in the game, it was just one giant clusterfuck.
Release it for the rest of the world not only the US if you want more players you retards.
God damn
The game was pretty boring except for the highway mission.
And that's the greatest shit ever.
Make a whole game based around it and people will actually enjoy it.
Maybe they should stop being fucking idiots and put it on Steam.
Eh, didn't see anything new (only played for a bit) other than the highway mission. Highway mission was a ton of fun, but the players were bad so we had bad drivers, bad shooters, and the rounds were only like 2 minutes of crashing into walls then dying really fast but still fun at times
Man, I completely forgot about this game.
Here's a little story; I met the CEO of FX Korea in Valve's lobby when I visted last year, and he gave me his business card.
He jokingly (at least I think he was) mentioned that after I was done with my GD course I should send him my resume.
I don't think working in South Korea would be ideal for me. :v:
I enjoyed the game while it lasted, I wish that it had more advertising though.
I'd have played it if I had known that it was fucking released. I thought this article's title was just a roundabout way of saying that the game was about to be released.
I'm sure it's a sad news for Tony Sergi and Minh Le. Putting so much time on this and all, who wouldn't be disappointed?
Why does the screenshot look like a gmod screenshot circa ~2008
Wait this came out FUCK
i played it for a total of 1 hour and it was amazingly bad.
What was wrong with it?
I remember elitists on Facepunch saying how much better it was than CSGO
well CSGO certainly had better staying power
CSGO is a high profile game on steam, that's not really saying much.
all I wanted to do was blast shit off the highway and play some ridiculous hl2dm with cs assets that felt like a broken mod
Snip
Such a shame this died so quickly. I played the beta and it was hilariously fun.
That highway mission was amazingly fun, and the crap that went on was insanely funny.

It looks like a really boring and fucked up sequel to CS. It's no wonder valve shitcanned the idea of CS2 (with Minh heading the whole thing) and made CSS and CSGO instead.
So no advertising and no one outside the U.S could play it, HOW COULD IT EVER FAIL?
Didn't people think this was going to be the next Counter-Strike game when the first few gameplay videos were released?

Even in the U.S., I didn't know this game came out of closed beta.
I remember hearing about this game from TechTV's Cinematech, before G4 fused with them, but the closed beta I participated in was pretty awkward. It seemed like they improved the 'final' version, but meeeh. And the Designated Marksman role was a horrible idea.
What was wrong with it?
it felt like i was playing a gmod gamemode.
