• Getting cell service in an area with shitty service?

I don't feel like typing a lot. When I go to Kentucky, I get no service where I stay and there's no internet. But my family up there who all have a local cell company, they all get good service so obviously there's signal, I just can't access it well. I've heard of putting your phone in a can or something to this effect. I have AT&T and an iphone.
AT&T. There's your problem. Kentucky is one of the absolute worst places for cell reception with AT&T. By the way, just out of curiosity, what part of Kentucky? [editline]3rd August 2011[/editline] And, as far as I know, there's really know way to boost the reception. Sorry, I read bad.
A town called Topmost. Near Pikeville or something.
Try tinfoil. Or get on a bunkbed. I'm partially serious about the second one. I got 1 bar of 3G service at my friends cabin on the top bed of the bunkbed. Everywhere else, you were lucky to get reliable 2G. Getting decent service from one tower in the town 6 miles away behind a hill is tricky business. And this was on Verizon.
