Any suggestions?
Well, if you want to keep on nvidia you have fairly good cards at that price. But if you want good performance you can save a bit more and get this geforce 460 gtx, which is pretty good at gaming: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130596
you can get a gtx460 768mb for el cheap, iirc it doesn't really impact performance heavily http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121390 http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/156?vs=180
post a screenshot of http://www.piriform.com/speccy and give power supply details, brand and wattage should do

Throw in a 50$ and get new PSU, new CPU and a new GPU. I recommend a 4830/Antec Basiq and maybe a Phenom II x4 or an Athlon II X4.
Kind of the same quetion here only I need a replacement for a burnt card. GTX 460 1 GB for 150€ but I'm sure I can get them down to 130 it's a local small shop. Good? [editline]28th March 2011[/editline] 440Watt power supply.
What brand? And specific model please.
Trying to fix up my Desktop that's been sat at home broke while I've been at Uni, and I'm a little behind the times. Currently running 8800GT 512, my budget is also around £150. How much better are current cards in that price range compared to what I currently have? Here there is a £35 difference between the top two cards, the only apparant difference being the vendor. Is cheapest best? http://www.ebuyer.com/search?q=gtx460+768mb+&x=56&y=18

Thanks. My PSU is 850W, which I assume is still more than enough for a single card. After a quick bit of reasearch I'm currently looking at an i5 2500k and a P67A-GD53, does that sound about right? I really need to do some catch up reading (the 2500k doesn't have a FSB and multiplier - what?!).
depends which 850W, you might be talking of something high end like an AX850 or you might be using some £10 IED that detonates under half load 2500k will be fine and the GD53 is a great priced mobo, I don't keep up with overclocking much but I'm pretty sure on P67 it's done entirely through the multiplier if that's what you're confused about
It's an OCZGXS850. It's pretty old now I suppose but it was a good quality PSU at the time. I've had an OCZ PSU die on me in the past, but it didn't take anything else with it so I count that as a postitive rather than a negative.
