[release]KIN, Texas – Charlie Wilson, the former U.S. congressman from Texas whose funding of Afghanistan's resistance to the Soviet Union was chronicled in the movie "Charlie Wilson's War," has died. He was 76.
A hopsital spokeswoman in Lufkin says Wilson died Wednesday of cardiopulmonary arrest.
Wilson represented the 2nd district in East Texas in the U.S. House from 1973 to 1996. He was the subject of the movie starring Tom Hanks in 2007.
The film was about Wilson's efforts to arm Afghani mujahedeen during their war against the Soviet Union. Wilson, a member of the House Appropriations Committee, helped secure money for weapons.
Wilson was known as "Good Time Charlie" when he was in Washington.[/release]
This guy was so fucking badass, I watched a documentary on him and he was doing coke at one time and chilling in a hot tub with bitches another time; this guy was a true American hero.

Listen, if you become a senator, do coke a few times, party with bitches in a hot tub, and supply weapons to rebels you will be badass in my book.
This guy lived a full life, thats for sure.
Still need to finish that movie.
i'm just staying that the guy did a lot more to make him a hero than coke and bitches

Quoting Mass Effect 2 gets you far in life. Quoting a terrible character like Jack doesn't.

The U.S is opportunistic. They saw an opportunity to slap the commies and took it. I doubt they considered the consequence of giving rebels high tech weaponry.
Opps.
